It's time for IRI to go

by MRX1 on

it's clear to every one now that no one wants this regime. The problem is not this stupid election or ahamadinejad verses the other. It's 2009 now and the new generation of Iranian kids don't deserve or want bunch of backward throw back with 9th century menthality to rule them.

Boy I am glad people inside Iran have a mind of their own and do not follow every crap posted on this site or any other site from a bunch who not only ain't done jack shit for them in the last 30 years, but also some are even eating from the same bowl Iranian people's criminal oppressers are.

Mehdi

Iranians must stop demonstrating

by Mehdi on

This is stupid and ridiculous. The original movement is dead. This is something a bunch of MKO-type people are doing. These are violent protesters who want nothing but chaos and destruction. They have no real leader; they have no real list of demands; they just want destruction and they use "freedom and democracy," two undefined terms, as their excuse for their random and senseless destruction. These small groups are not supported by majority. We should all speak out against these chaos seekers. Improving Iran does NOT require violent demonstrations. Stop blaming the police and name calling. Demonstrators are now, and since a while ago, the CAUSE of violence NOT the victim of it. Let's be honest and stop lying.

Iranians should pass the torch to Karoubi now

by David ET on

Today Mehdi Karoubi with his historical statement took the deserved leadership role of the people's movement and it is now up to the people and the coalition to stand behind him.

I started writing a long article about this and near the end I lost it all and I will attempt at another one but due to the importance of this historical statement, I see the need to at least for now state that the people and coalition should openly show their support of Karoubi's stated positions and assign him the leadership role that he has gained by his actions and active presence in the past few weeks .

I sure hope to very soon hear new slogans of : Karoubi Hedayat, Irani Hemayat

(Karoubi leadership, Iranians support)

I know this comment may lack insufficient backing but I will state my reasons in much detail soon. His presence at Ghobad Mosque few days ago and his humble, couragous and detailed statement today should be the taken as turning signal that I hope Iranians would act upon.

Karoubi's statement://www.etemademelli.ir/published/0/00/48/4855/

Davood-Banayan how can you request peace and order when the hearts of oppressed people cry out?  My opinion is that the protesters are not just demonstrating against a stolen election, but stolen "human rights".

Informative

by Benyamin on

According to Presstv(Khamenie`s private radio and television) more than a dozen students are killed by Islamic thugs when they stormed the dormitories of Tehran university.

I remember when the very first time the news  broke out the president of Tehran university said "no one is dead and that was a shear lie". Today their own news agancy reports as if they have reported this before (very casuale). Heck it didnot even make the headlines!!!

The headline is about Gaza which I didn`t read.

Now the president of Tehran university is denying any envolvement in that incident.

They kept it quiet because that alone could have made many more angry and now it isnot making headline. I FEEL SORRY FOR THOSE PEOPLE THAT WERE INVOLVED IN KILLING OUR YOUTH ANYWHERE AT ANY LEVEL IN ANY FORM OF DRESS, BECAUSE JUSTICE IS AWAITING THEM. Innocent lives have souls after all.

Americans for a Democratic Republic in Iran.

The Spiritual leader has already concluded that Ahmadinejad has won re-election.

Only Imam Mahdi, the 12th Imam, and Shia Muslim Messiah can over rule the Spriritual leader and the council of guardians.

It is high time that the protests stop and everything get back to peace and order.

Of course my sources are mostly heresay but that is the best we have, the news itself is from BBC but involvement of other nationalities is what I have heard from friends and family.

The Islamic government is paying anywhere up to 200000 Toman a "day" a motor cycle and gears and gadgets to beat protesters because most of the baseej forces refuse to kill or even beat people, therfore 200000 toman a day is a lucrative deal and most people with no money even Iranians take it. people from remote areas of iran very poor people and little or no litteracy. foreign nationals with no legal status and of course Arabs from Palestine and Lebenon(I have to clarify the news that they are attaching to marked homes is from BBC).

News...

by Benyamin on

Baseej is raiding targeted homes at night with no mercy. Baseej followed some of the fraud election protesters to their homes and painted signs on theior door so they can re-visit them later on when things a bit more under control. Now they have started doing what they planned to do, and no one can see since it is in the darkness of the night and no "witnesses" are around. The defencless people of Iran getting beaten by "hired" Baseejies, Afgan nationals, Arab nationals and so on.

The most responsible and visible person is "Saeed Mortazavi" the general prosecutor of Tehran.

great idea!

how about the word 'Neda' printed on the map of Iran in the 3 national colours (like payam's avatar here without the shir-o-khorshid), and made of plastic or a less expensive material that can be worn by everyone without costing too much?

Peace

Neda necklace

by Meehan (not verified) on

I think it would be a good idea if every Iranian would wear a Gold or Silver necklace depicting Neda as an angle with white wings as a symbol of Iranian Freedom and Liberty. This would be a great blow to the islamic Regime in Iran. How can we spread this idea? Who would be the pioneer to make the first Neda Necklace. Any Ideas?

Hello, I was wondering if

by apersonwhocares on

Hello, I was wondering if this might be a good idea: SInce there are
protests against the violence in Iran all around the world, why not
unite those forces? Why don't people unite. If people fly in from all
over the world, not directly into Iran, because they woulde probably be
arrested right away. If people flew into surronding countries,
assembled in groups and tried to cross the land border. If they are not
allowed inside Iran, then they should make a camp/picket line right
there on the border crossing. Perhaps this action would at least ring
encouragement and boost the morale of the Iranians within Iran. Not to
mention the Basij couldn't touch them because they would still
technically be in another country.
