Ali Behzadian-nejad has been sentenced to 6 years in prison for "the published comments on his weblog and collaboration in disturbing national security and propaganda against the system," his lawyer informed Parleman News. Mr. Behzadian-nejad is related to MirHosein Mousavi's campaign manager.

Iran's foreign minister ruled out on Wednesday sending enriched uranium out of the country for further processing, effectively rejecting the latest U.N. plan aimed at preventing Tehran from building nuclear weapons.

The United Nations last month offered a deal to take 70 percent of Iran's low-enriched uranium to reduce its stockpile of material that could be enriched to a higher level, and possibly be used to make nuclear weapons.

"We will definitely not send our 5.3-percent enriched uranium out of the country," Foreign Minister Manochehr Mottaki told the semiofficial ISNA news agency.

Iran vowed to continue enriching uranium despite a wrist slap by the UN nuclear watchdog, as US President Barack Obama warned of "consequences" Tuesday if Tehran refused to come clean on its atomic programme.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) raised suspicions on Monday that Iran could be hiding more atomic facilities and complained that it was not fully in compliance with its nuclear obligations.
