Alene (bubbly) is a newcomer to iranian.com. She has written a poem called “Comment Queen” introducing herself to the rest of us. I wrote this poem for her, welcoming her to our community, also giving her a heads up.
***
Welcome Alene,
Since you’re still a teen
who seems to be pristine
allow me to give you my routine
that I give to all who are at first serene.
I don’t mean to be mean,
but
there’re things happening here,
yet to you unseen,
and since
you’re not old enough to go to a canteen
let me tell you
run, run
run Alene,
before you’re trapped by this mean machine!
But if you decide to stay,
try to start lean.
Stay away from any controversial scene,
they're like Strychnine.
People who are obscene
will call you:
Latrine,
Gangrene,
Unclean,
and they’ll feed you to dogs
as if you were K-9 cuisine.
And still,
if you decide to stay,
remember this:
You can check out any time you like,
but you can never leave!
(because this website is as addictive as Morphine)
Welcome to Hotel California:

Omigod, this is like so f-ing fantastic!
by rosie is roxy is roshan on Thu Apr 16, 2009 08:51 PM PDTI swear to god, I was JUST sitting here thinking about "Comment Queen", the words just popped into my head, and then I thought, that had something to do with Welcome Alene, and then I thought, as I always do when she pops into my head (which is not INfrequently, you've no idea how many millions of things just pop into my head every day, I really AM in the ether..), gee, I wonder if MPD and I drowe the poor kid away.
And I'd been tracking very closely because I wrote this really important question to someone on David's thread and I am really interested in the reply, and I SWEAR TO GOD you had NOT updated this blog and it was NOT at the top of my tracking before I thought of her. There have been THREE only, David's, Ayhab's, and Nur's all night.
And immediately after thinking about Welcome Alene I went to my tracking and there she was, with updated in red.
And the reason why it's so fantastic is that when psychic connections like that "pop up', it's because the two people are close. And the funny part of it too is that I'd just been writing about the complementary thing when she popped up in my head and then my tracking...and that is like so cool
I honestly think it's in part because I FINALLY made a RESOLUTE decision (at least for time being) to CUT that negative relationship and although I was very hurt obviously, distraught, by what happened, once I made and voiced the decision I felt strong. Centered. Focused.
That has NEVER EVER happened to me before when I'd felt so hurt. Never.
And so I think what's happening is because I've had so much of him in my "energy field", we've been like...Ohrmazd and Ahriman in Cyber Disneyworld, that NOTHING ELSE COULD COME IN. So this is good. A good firm start.
Now don't go aheming about psychic connections. It's absolutely compatible with materialsm and every grandmother who ever dreamed their grandson was sick and called and found he had the flu knows that. And the Russian experiments, and now I think Harvard and what not..
psychic = physical. Same thing. Just different spellings.
LOL
Dear Monda,
by Multiple Personality Disorder on Tue Feb 03, 2009 06:30 PM PSTBelieve me, for me being sick is a personality trait. Many times in my life, as a means of getting attention, I’ve acted sick, so the middle bottom emoticon honestly befits me quite well sometimes.
And, I’ve been told, by more than one person, that I’m “sick”, but they’ve also given me encouragement that my “sickness” is treatable. So, I'm hopeful.
Have a nice evening,
Top Left
Dear Multiple
by Monda on Tue Feb 03, 2009 03:41 PM PSTGood of you to give the heads up to our young viewers. Even though they wouldn't listen to anyone even if they tried!
BTW I relate to your smilies except for the the middle in the bottom. Is that lettuce in his mouth? how does that signify a personality trait? hmm. I know you're currently super-busy with moshaaereh so please don't feel obligated to reply, it can wait!
Dear Monda,
by Multiple Personality Disorder on Sun Feb 01, 2009 12:41 PM PSTSorry I missed your commented posted a week ago. I provided a link to "Welmone Alene", the first line in blue, but it was missed by many. Please click on the link to find out who she is:
//iranian.com/main/blog/bubbly/comment-queen
Thank you for showing interest.
Who is Alene?
by Monda on Sat Jan 24, 2009 07:18 AM PSTdamn good poem anyway, has anyone written music to it yet?!
Your in DENIAL....
by Free Spirit on Mon Jan 19, 2009 10:39 AM PSTbut it is okay. Your friends still like all of your personalities. Though a little less of "Grumpy" would be better.lol
I kind of like the imperfect avatar now. It kind of grows on a person. It is slightly flawed.....just like me. :o)
I'm not a poet,
by Multiple Personality Disorder on Mon Jan 19, 2009 10:36 AM PSTI'm not an artist, I'm not a writer. I go to Dictionary, Theasaurus, Rhym Finder, Photo Shop,... and I put two and two together and make five out of it.
I don't see your 'Free Spirit' avatar being fixed. Try to upload again.
You know MPD....
by Free Spirit on Mon Jan 19, 2009 06:56 AM PSTI wish someone had warned me when I first arrived here. I wonder would I have run....run...run for my life then.
You are very good at writing poetry. You should do it more often.
You were correct about the avatar. It looks so much better now. :o)
Thanks!
Thank you Nazy,
by Multiple Personality Disorder on Mon Jan 19, 2009 06:42 AM PSTI know you’re hurting, as we are all by the events of the last several days.
I went ahead and added some more verses to the poem as you suggested. I’m wondering what kind of a role model we are to Alene and young people like her. For sure, God (if there is one) knows that I’m one of the worst ones.
You are a doll,
I know you are correct...
by Free Spirit on Mon Jan 19, 2009 06:12 AM PSTbut it is so harsh and a drag on those political blogs.
It is why I stopped being on them.
Naz, MPD, FS,
by rosie is roxy is roshan on Mon Jan 19, 2009 02:15 AM PSTNazy the relevant post I wrote on my blog using her post to you is called something like I APOLOGIZE and you really should read it. Working up from there my thinking on the subject has evolved already, you can't JUST be compassionate with people who do thinks lik that but you have to remember how sick they are. And really suffering. Trust me, Z's no happy camper.
As far as the "welcome diversio" is concerned, this is a serious point I have been trying to explain to people" The problem with the political blogs is that they are full of political people.
I already it explained it to Nazy day in reply to her post on my thread under Zionazis. But when you MPD provide a link to something like this on SUCH a heated blog like my blog to Zion, saying we need more love, more POETRY
and you see something like THIS...and you split your sides laughing..and then you're like..oh right, wait...there are these eighteen year olds in the world so innocent and fresh.....or less DESPAIRING...
and you do kinda come back to the blog a little less hateful.
So the problem with the political blogs is they are full of political people. We need normal people to visit them.
MPD, taken with the context this is the very best piece of writingyou've ever done during the two weeks you've been a member of the i.c. community.
Welcome MPD. Welcome Alene!
Yes, Roxie
by Free Spirit on Mon Jan 19, 2009 01:47 AM PSTYour photo is muy bonita. I noticed Q liked the photo too. :o)
Dear Multiple
by Nazy Kaviani on Mon Jan 19, 2009 01:37 AM PSTIt's all true! Somewhere in there you should tell her not to get too full of herself here, that even if she writes poetry and love stories and nostalgia forever, if she ever objects to the hoori-pari (not) haye Iranian.com, she might be labeled a leftist and a pro IRI propaganda mouthpiece! Kaar az mohkam kaari eib nemikoneh! She might need this lesson! Thanks for the welcome diversion!
No I like this avatar, not the other picture, I think
by rosie is roxy is roshan on Mon Jan 19, 2009 12:38 AM PSTthat one would be too "busy" in small form and wouldn't "rerad". But you can give it a shot.
As far as choosing between these two on this thread,I like the new one. It looks a little sharper, more contrasty. I don't know why. It's clearer. And that's what makes it look caliente-er.
r.
I was being ironic...:o)
by Free Spirit on Mon Jan 19, 2009 12:23 AM PSTI think it looked better the other way. Hey! Maybe I should use the photo from my poem for my avatar.
Now that is muy caliente. :o)
WOW!
by rosie is roxy is roshan on Mon Jan 19, 2009 12:18 AM PSTMy caliente!
Que enchilada!
MPD fixed my avvaatar too. Mine is not muy caliente. Pero es muy bonito.
Well I uploaded the resized avatar
by Free Spirit on Sun Jan 18, 2009 11:59 PM PSTDoes it look better?
Yes through therapy the three split personalities were
by rosie is roxy is roshan on Sun Jan 18, 2009 10:55 PM PSTsuccessfully integrated into one functioning and helthy (as far as these things go) human consciousness. I sent you a link about that druing one of the early MPD blogs, didn't I? It was a clip about the woman the film was based on going to see a re-showing of the film in a big theater many years later.
I have no idea in what form it's available. It is such a classic, I'm sure it's highly accessible.
It isn't about killing off the "other" personalities. There ARE no "other" personalities. They are all part of ONE whole perssonlity which th psyche has had to compartmentalize because the agony of one ASPECT of the person knowing abou the "other" ASPECTS would be too painful to bear.
This is because people suffering from true Multiple Personality Disorder, which is EXTREMELY rare in comparison to ALL other psychitric disorders, have the most horrific early childhood experiences imaginable.
The most horrific circumstances imaginable.
So for instance if you were tortured as a very young child the raw stuff of your personality is the same as everyone else's, you have anger, grief, love, etc. But in this case the anger and grief would be unbearable to be conscious of all the time. So the psyche figures out a way for the organism to be able to survive.
The dominant personality would probably be demure and self-effacing and rather innocuous able to sort of...get through life on a kind of...low energy base metabolism.
The dreadfully painful parts, the angry one and the grief-stricken one, would be thus repressed from the primary one, and would come out on their own terms where they would not threaten the survival of the organism through being constantly present..
The human psyche is a genius.
As far as Roxane goes, Roxane is Roshan from the Persian as you know, Roxana or Roshanak.
The spelling Roxanne with two "n"s is an Anglicization based on the false assumption that it has some relationship to the English name Anne. It doesn't.
Same with Rosanne. It's a form of Roshan, it doesn't come from Rose plus Anne. That's why I wrote on j's Laura blog last month that as Rosie my name had already been Roxane since I came here, if it is viewed as the diminutive of Rosane (Rosanne) as opposed to just Rose.
So..that's why I use Roxane. Less English, closer to the Persian.
Mifahmid, y'all?
I see.....
by Free Spirit on Sun Jan 18, 2009 10:33 PM PSTI shall send you two different sizes of the photo.
Roxane,
by Multiple Personality Disorder on Sun Jan 18, 2009 10:30 PM PSTI'll be darned if I ever call you any other name but Roxane, but by the way why do you spell it with one "n" and not two, Roxanne.
Do they have "The Three faces of Eve" in 16 mm film, wait that was the old stuff, do they have in DVD? I want to watch it to see what's that all about. I heard her, what's her name, one day on NPR, she sounded very "normal" to me! I wonder if she killed off the other personalities!
Free Spirit,
by Multiple Personality Disorder on Sun Jan 18, 2009 10:24 PM PSTYou're dimensioned wrong!
Yes you were MPD
by rosie is roxy is roshan on Sun Jan 18, 2009 10:03 PM PSTbut you WEREN'T talking to ANY of me...

there are nine faces of Steve

by Free Spirit on Sun Jan 18, 2009 09:59 PM PSTIs it bash Free Spirit Day?!
MPD what is so wrong with my avatar? Maybe you want a closer look. :o)
Free Spirit,
by Multiple Personality Disorder on Sun Jan 18, 2009 09:50 PM PSTI was talking to “Nadias” and “Natalia Alvarado-Alvarez”, not you!
This Free Spirit chick, as I recall,
by rosie is roxy is roshan on Sun Jan 18, 2009 09:49 PM PSTfrom her own self-assessment, has an underdeveloped sense of irony.
From my assessment, she has a highly developed sense of ethics, poetry, spiituality and so forht but..
an underdevoloped sense of irony.
Walt Whitman?
by Free Spirit on Sun Jan 18, 2009 09:51 PM PSTI thought MPD wrote it.
Speaking of forgetting!
by Multiple Personality Disorder on Sun Jan 18, 2009 09:38 PM PSTYou forgot that you made your first comment as “Nadias”!
But anyway, furloughs are two days a month, beginning on February, first and third Friday of each month. So, the first furlough day is on Friday February 6th.
So, no, it is not the fault of Furlough that I wrote this poem!
I cannot believe
by Free Spirit on Sun Jan 18, 2009 09:35 PM PSTyou self promoted yourself on such a serious blog MPD. Aye!
Alene..
by rosie is roxy is roshan on Sun Jan 18, 2009 09:32 PM PSTlisten to the man. He knows what he's talking about.
Get out while you still can...
or get ready...
for a looooooooooooooooooong ride
off a shoooooooooooooooort plank...
Forget already?!
by Natalia Alvarado-Alvarez on Sun Jan 18, 2009 09:16 PM PSTI thought you blogged about getting a Friday off. Did you not have to take it off?
