Homayra is not a cutie.She may have been good looking in he younger age,but for sure not now.I saw one of her videos she had so much make up around her eyebrows that made her look like a witch.Shaghayegh is a good looking singer with beautiful green eye and a nice figure.I am voting for her.

Over the years I've

Over the years I've repeatedly been told I look a lot like Homeyra!
When at my brother's wedding -I was 19- I was told the same thing once again, I went to the ladies room and pulled my hair back into a pony tail to look different and not like her!
This got my mom so MAd!

I always wanted to look like someone from the younger generation, and not the classic Iranian type with "bedroom eyes" which everyone thought I had.
I just wanted to look cute!
That was some 20 years ago. Now looking back and looking at this picture, I find her attractive. Maybe it's just this picture or...
Anyway I think I look different now, but even so a couple of months ago a young woman told me " shoma khayli shabihe Homeyra hastin... sedatoon ham beh hamoon ghashangieh? Man asheghe sedash hastam"
I really didn't mind and took it as a compliment ...I guess AGE does that to you!
Wish I had her voice though, and I must say she is a real lady!

I really wanted to say that d-rated celeb Shiva Rose.  You know the one that was married to Dylan McDermott.  I think she's very pretty.  I felt a little guilty and thought I'd throw some props my mom's way.  I just asked her to babysit for me new year's eve (a 3 day stint).

My mother.  She's the most

My mother.  She's the most beautiful Iranian woman I know. She was part of the women's right to vote movement in the early 60's in Iran.  Came to the US with kids in tow finished her masters degree and returned to Iran as an educator and a feminist.  She's worked her ass off to provide for her family and her community here in the US after Iran didn't want her.  At 65 she refuses to retire.  All of my American friends wish they could be her or be adopted by her.  She's short and doughy with the most awesome hazel eyes.  Can't really cook.  Terrible housewife.  But she's a force to be reckoned with.  Unfortunately for me I took after my dad.

I think she's beautiful because she's intelligent, brave and a good communicator. She might not be sexy, but she's beautiful. I love that woman.
