In response to "Freedom of a speech?? Editor of Iranian.com biography":

Thank you Freedom5. I see you can copy and paste. Or are you the same person who wrote this?

Actually I am very grateful you brought it up. Finally I have time to respond to this nonsense -- a collection of truths (taken from my own published writings), half-truths, and outright lies.

1962 - Jahanshah Javid was born in Abadan, Iran.

This is true. You're off to a good start.

1974 - He traveled to Egypt with his family, this trip had a significant impact on him to grow future Islamist Tendencies.

Nah digeh, bebin, naamardi nakon... I was 12! How did visiting the pyramids turn me on to "Islamist tendencies"? If you want to lie and make up stories, be more imaginative. What I want to know is what you were doing when you were 12 and what had a "significant impact" on your brain because by your logic it must have been extremely traumatic.

1976 - He moved to United States of America to finish High School.

And?

1979 - Islamic Revolution (Reaction) of Iran occurred and Islamist Fundamentalists, occupied the government offices of the progressive civilized Iran! The plan was to push Iran back to 7th century AD!

Iran was a "progressive" and "civilized"? According to who? Mohammad Reza Shah, the autocratic King of Kings? The one who did not allow the opposition to speak, let alone criticize him and his court? Who banned all political parties except Rastakhiz? Who gave the green light to Islamists to thrive, supposedly to fight "communism"? Who allowed religious fundamentalism to grow in the absence of secular politicians who were either in jail or silenced?

1980 - Jahanshah voluntarily went back to Iran to help the Islamic Reactionaries and the Islamic Republic's Occupying Regime to establish a Theocratic Dictatorship upon Iran! He grew a beard and a mustache. Like a devout Muslim, he started praying 3 times a day. In the past, he had mild religious tendencies, yet suddenly he had turned to a full-blown Islamist! His first job was a translator position for IRNA (Islamic Republic News Agency).

Do you know how many thousands went back to Iran after the revolution to build a better and freer Iran? Do you know how many millions voted for the establishment of the Islamic Republic? Yes I was one of them. And I was foolish and very wrong.

One major correction: I did grow a beard, but unfortunately at age 18, I had a very thin mustache.

When, where did I have "mild religious tendencies" before the revolution? I first started reading Ali Shariati when I was 16, a year or so before the revolution. Neither of my parents were religious. There was nothing religious about our manners or life-style. In 1979, people were attracted to Islam not as a religion but a political force against the Shah's dictatorship. There were no secular forces in the scene. Democracy was hardly a priority for anybody, unlike today. It should have been and I wish I was intelligent enough to realize what a huge mistake it was to ignore basic human rights and fundamental freedoms.

Next, he changed his name from Jahanshah (a Persian name) to "Mohamad" (an Arabo_Islamic name)! At the time that True Iranian Nationalists were going back to their Persian roots and changed their Islamic names to Persian names, this gentleman done the opposite! For example Mr. Reza Mazluman changed his name to "Kourosh Aryamanesh". My Master (Dr. Kourosh Aryamanesh) sincerely believed that to own an Islamic name for an Iranian is a disgrace and considers as Treason to Iran and Iranians; therefore, he found it necessary to change his name to a Good Iranian Name. On the other hand, this Born Again Shiite, Jahanshah Javid went by the fashion and fad of the day and sold his Iranian birth name, yet bought a worst possible Arabo_Islamic name that he could get his hands on from The Islamic SuperMarket of names! Like a Chameleon, he changed colors and face, like a camouflaging lizard, Chameleon Jahanshah became Mohamad!

It's "treason" to change a name to Mohammad? People are usually hanged or imprisoned for treason. You mean if you and your bunch come to power you will hang anyone who changed their name to an "Arabo-Islamic" one? The same name that the "progressive, civilized" Shah had? The same name as the prophet of Islam which tens of millions of Iranians follow? Would it have been ok if I changed my name to Reza, as in Reza Pahlavi?

Don't I get any points for dropping Mohammad and my faith in Islam and all religions, and reinstating Jahanshah? Doesn't it matter that I eventually broke with the Islamic Republic and everything it stands for? I guess not. Shoot me already.

Now named Mohamad Javid, became a full-blown Muslim Revolutionary working for the IRI Government. His hobby was photography yet propaganda photos! He made a career out of taking pictures of the Islamic Pro IRI demonstrations and Islamic revolutionary slogans and graffiti on the walls of Tehran! What an artist!

An artist? You're so sweet. Stop it! I'm blushing.

Later, he married an IRNA typist named Zahra Pirani. Supposedly he was rebelling against his social class, he was of the middle class so he married a religious woman from a lower social class. At this point he was going more and more towards Religious Fanaticism. Also at this time, known IRNA propagandists were amongst his friends and during this period, he became a reporter-photographer for IRNA and a flaming Islamist Propagandist. He managed to gather a gang of extremist Islamic Fundamentalist Reactionaries and Hot Headed Islamic Militants and students around him! At this point, he became a professional propagandist for the Terrorist Regime of Mullahs! People like Jahanshah Javid are the reason that Iran got destroyed!

I did work for IRNA as a TRANSLATOR in the English section and a free-lance photographer. How does that translate to getting deeper into "religious fanaticism"? Because I prayed, wore a beard and married a woman from a traditional religious background? Can you count how many people in Iran pray every day? And how many are traditional and religious? And work for the government?

More interestingly I want to know more about the "gang of extremist Islamic Fundamentalist Reactionaries and Hot Headed Islamic Militants and students" I supposedly gathered around me. I had no idea I was a gang leader. Give me some names, details. I want to organize a reunion in Vegas.

1982 - His daughter, Mahdiyeh was born. Please pay attention to the deeply religious name which he chosen for his daughter: "Mahdiyeh" (female version of Mahdi, the mythical 12th Imam of Shiite, whom in childhood had disappeared in a well, and upon his return, the justice shall come upon Earth)!

I know... tell me about it. My religious wife wanted to name her Laili and I said it was taghooti. In fact it's my baby's birthday today. Baby keh cheh arz konam... mashalla she turned 27. Crap! Did I say "mashalla"? I meant to say "by the grace of Ahura Mazda".

1981 - 1985 - Many of his photos appeared in the Iranian broadcasting organization's Soroush magazine. He was also working for IRNA in Tehran as a reporter/photographer.

Ok.

1982 - 1988 - He continued working for IRNA and in addition Kayhan International which was the international English version of Hezbollah's propaganda tabloid (Kayhan) published in Tehran.

Back then, Kayhan was managed by Mohammad Khatami, not the current Khamenei stooge Hossein Shariatmadari. Minor detail, but still.

News Agencies, same as NFL American Football Teams or International Soccer Teams, trade players; however, the players in this case are writers, reporters and photographers. This is a tradition amongst the news agencies to trade players, trade information and keep up the good public relation.

Hmm... sounds like a set-up. Where are you going with this?

British Government as always, had a perfect relation with Mullahs of Qom; furthermore, British policies were one of the major factors towards the success of the Islamist Reaction of 1979. Diplomatic relations of Great Britain and Islamic Republic is more complexed than a simple official relation, yet it's more like a Diplomatic Love Affair! UK, gets cheap oil, number one (best) and top of the line Iranian food products, produce and can goods in wholesale prices, and naturally the rest of the natural resources of Iran at bargain prices! In return, Mullahs get to have the British Green Light to stay in power, oppress the masses and do as they please! In addition, UK, France, Germany and Italy remain as IRI's Top 4 trading partners and avoid participating in any possible sanctions or blockage posed by United States upon the IRI. So UN, EU, Russia and China, leading by the reluctant UK, sabotage any possible sanctions upon IRI. The perfect love affair made in heavens!

The British Government?! I love this. When you have no argument, bezan beh sahraaye engelees :o)

Is this the same British government that installed your beloved "progressive" Mohammad Reza Shah to power in 1941? And incited the Americans to bring him back to power in 1953? And when your gang comes to power after the ayatollahs, I guess your government will not do any dealings with the filthy Brits, Germans, or French because of their trade with the Islamic Republic? Right? Right...

The same type of love affair and mutual wheeling and dealings also goes on between the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and Islamic Republic's News Agency (IRNA)! The beautiful trade of information, agents and the usual flirtations in a Secret Rendezvou goes on behind the curtains! These rendezvous were going on pre and post Islamic Revolution! Naturally, Mohamad Khan-e Javid, the born again Shiite was an obedient trustee and servant of IRNA and IRI; therefore, they traded him with the British. Mohamad Javid at first became a liaison and then an agent. During this period, Mohamad Khan started to first become an IRNA Agent in British Hierarchy and then a Double Agent working for both BBC and IRNA. Jahanshah Khan or better said, born again Shiite Mohamad Khan, started to climb the ladders of International Journalism or better put International Treason to Mother Persia! During this period, he was working for IRNA in Tehran and London, Islamic Organization of the Crescent International in London, Kayhan International Newspaper (Tabloid mouthpiece of Hezbollah in English) in Tehran, reporter at Non-Aligned Movement summit for IRNA in New Delhi, India (1982). During this era, Mohamad Khan was officially working for IRNA, yet he was making connections and establishing himself to eventually move on to BBC. Jahanshah chameleon was working hard to learn the fine arts of opportunism, incognito information trades, propaganda and double cross!

I became a "double agent"?! Really? How come no one told me? Next time I'm in London I'll check with MI-6 and collect my long overdue salary and pension.

I admire your ability to read my resume but holy moly your ability to fantasize is off the chart. Now I'm positive something serious happened to you when you were 12.

1988 - 1989 - He acted as a reporter and an agent of IRNA to cover assignments in Belgrade (1989) and at Iran-Iraq peace talks in Geneva (1988 - 1989). He was also freelancing for Tehran Times, another IRI mouthpiece media.

Ok. That again is from my resume.

1990 - 1992 - He went back to school, continuing his education at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque and while he was there, he was working at the Daily Lobo. On 1991 He done some freelance for Associated Press in Tehran.

Again, from my one-page resume. You did a lot of research and fact-checking. I'm impressed.

1991 - 1996 - He started his official work with BBC Persian Service, yet he was still working for IRNA in New York and UN. He continued his education in media studies in Hunter College of New York. His studies continued for decades (From Birth to Grave!) but has he ever managed to get a lousy degree? Only Allah knows!

From my resume, again, more or less, with emphasis on less. Now I'm even doubting your ability to read. In my resume, under education, it says: B.A., Media Studies, Hunter College, City University of New York, 1996. I did get my degree; give me some credit at least.

1994 - 1996 - One of Jahanshah's darkest eras in life was working as a propagandist mouthpiece for the Islamic Regime, as a direct Agent of The Islamic Republic in the infamous "Aftab" Cable Television in New York. At the same time, he was working with Iran Business Monitor also in New York.

This was the DARKEST era in my life? Being a presenter of a cultural show on TV and saying "watch this documentary about carpet weavers in Kerman"? And writing articles for a business magazine? So what happened to the time when I became a double agent? That wasn't as bad? Oh I see. I remained a double agent and did all these crimes on top of it. Got it.

IRI's America East Coast Operations: Aftab Television, Alavi Foundation and Muslim Student Association, were some of the most infamous front organizations of IRI in New York to operate their well connected network to sabotage Opposition networks and activities via collecting huge amounts of Islamic Charity and donation funds to operate their network of espionage, money laundry, illegal weapon purchases, illegal business transactions, spreading Islamist propaganda, drafting new Muslim agents, and other terrorist activities. These three organizations were Front Businesses for IRI's illegal activities in "America East Coast Operations." IRI's America West Coast Operations: IRI has a separate network of Espionage in west coast which is called "America West Coast Operations", which includes Front Businesses of Iman Foundation, Muslim Student Association of California, and a number of Media mouthpieces including newspapers, magazines, websites and Satellite televisions.

Wow! Cool! West and East Coast operations for the IRI (and the British, still?). I think you're just jealous that I have so much power and influence. You're a brave anonymous man though. You aren't afraid that the all-powerful Brits are not too pleased that their most prized undercover agent has been exposed. But now that you have outed me, I might as well tell everyone my real name. It's James... James Javid.

1996 - 2001 - Mr. Javid continued his activities with BBC Persian Services and also added Washington, DC to his area of operation.

Update: My area of operation has moved to Chihuahua, Mexico. That's were all the action happens. Come visit me sometime.

On November 6th 1995 Mohamad Javid created a new mouthpiece front business, yet this time in the form of a Net Media named "The Iranian Magazine".

Wrong! I started this mouthpiece in late July/early August 1995. The date on the first cover photo is September 1995 (dated ahead, like all other magazines). And the Islamic Republic LOVES it so much it has blocked it in Iran for the past five years. Of course Her Majesty, Eleezabet Joon, is a big fan too.

A few words at the end and I'll get back to publishing propaganda for dear Islam. You forgot to copy the rest of the stuff from this page. Especially the part where the writer complains that I somehow shamelessly refused to publish his/her articles. If I'm such a filthy Hezbollahi double agent chameleon opportunist, why would you want anything written by you and your freedom-fighting buddies published in iranian.com, the regime's "mouthpiece"?

I will copy that part for the benefit of readers here so they can see how far a cry baby will go when rejected by Agent Javid:

Why I wrote this piece? As I have mentioned, I have much bigger fish than Javid to fry and I truly did not want to write this piece but he forced me into doing it by boldly committing these acts:

a) IPC [Iranian Politics Club] posts informative announcements around the web. While Iranian.com, still had a forum, IPC posted one of these informative posts in there. Jahanshah Javid Deleted the very first IPC Informative Announcement in his forum. This is where "Nothing is Sacred" is in fact nothing but an empty slogan! When some hard-core Opposition Organization (IPC Operations), posts an informative post, then it gets deleted in Iranian.com; furthermore, later on the Iranin.com forum, itself gets deleted and disappears from face of the earth! Why is that? Because Jahanshah Javid wants absolute control on what to be published and what not, in Iranian.com! After all, there is a limit to what he is allowed to publish in Iranian.com! He can publish Hezbollah views, he can publish National Islamist (Meli Mazhabi) views, he can publish Liberal Reformist (Ebadi, Khatami, Ganji) views, he can even publish Liberal Democratic views and anyone such as members of Jebhe Meli (Iran National Front) whom can be tolerated under the Islamic Republic's laws and frame work. Sometimes he can even publish a random radical and liberal piece (to lose track), but he can never publish a hard-core Iranian opposition piece, which directs towards Mullahs and his bosses in IRNA or IRIB! Mr. Javid must absolutely obey Tehran and Qom!

b) Later on, Mr. Javid deleted IPC Web Mistress' post in his forum, questioning him on his trashing of Freedom of Speech, One Sided Journalism and Oppressive Behavior.

c) Next, Mr. Javid, Ignored IPC Web Mistress' E-mail to him and his Junior Hezbo Forum Monitor "Mashregh". He refused to respond.

Now you have my response. Now go cry some more.

Freedom5 life story

by divaneh on

Pity that the freedom5 is banned. If not, perhaps he could give us an account of his own life and exercise the same accuracy and bias in his analysis.

I agree with some others that the personal attacks and labelling people should be banned specially by people like me who hide behind an avatar and a silly name.

Thank you jj for the good site and good luck.

Agent Javid

by Flying Solo on

Agent Javid, aka Somerset Javid, aka Larry Darrell - come out of your nest - you. You have been found, you have been caught and called to the table.  Admit it - you like roast beef and yorkshire pudding and can polish off a pineapple upside down with or without custard.

No more nonsense from you Mr. Spy. Rumor has it you are doubling up with someone else's face, which you stole from an alien visiting your virtual bar.  Not a drop of liquor into you but many lickers you serve.

Do be patient and don't underestimate the enemy. Give us the goods daily in code.  I knew something was up when you posted that picture of yours picking your nose right under the pyramids.  Surely a sign for your master, "M", to toggle a switch somewhere in the deep dark hamlets of Surrey, the den of treason - which employed you at the ripe old age of 12 - to mold you as one of her majesty's monks.  Admit it - you are into Morris dancing also. Once you were sighted in a kilt even.

I am shocked, stunned, blown over and stuttering. Could it be - is this real - am I hearing right?  Wasn't your second cousin twice removed the one I saw sipping tea with Churchill's mother's maternal uncle? Of course that was you - in that Mayfair club, a whole index finger up your nose - searching, searching, searching for that message from "M".

Agent Javid - report immediately to the nearest node off Trafalgar Square.  Drop the shoe . No - not the one that matches your other goofy one. The one with the in-built taser you use when you come across some hottie running through the rain with the message from above - that we - all of us at IC have been duped!

Nothing is  sacred. But EVERBODY is SCARED!

Veiled Prophet of Khorasan

Re: This said it all

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on

Just one tiny disagreement. I think the biggest perpetrator of lies was "Ali Shariati".  WIth out him  Khomeini' nonsense would not have been so well received. Shairati was the brain behind Islamism. Khomeini was handed over an already brainwashed population.

As you, I am proud to say that I did not fall for it even a moment. I knew neither Khomeini nor Shariati were to be trused. And like you my family was not religious.Utopi is unrealistic and I will settle for a regular democratic secular nation.

" Don't I get any points for dropping Mohammad and my faith in Islam and all religions, and reinstating Jahanshah? Doesn't it matter that I eventually broke with the Islamic Republic and everything it stands for? I guess not. Shoot me already."

This tells me that Mr javid, like thousands of other Iranians, believed the lies and false promises of utopia perpeterated by one of the biggest traitors in Iranian history, Khomeini.

My own brother, a physician, was a supporter of the so called revolution. Not anymore, of course. I am proud to say that I never ever supported anything Islamic (in spite of being born muslim). Perhaps due to the fact that neither of my parent were religious either - I dunno.

May I suggest you add only ONE more rule to your existing list:

Any comments or blogs that accuse others of being an 'agent', no matter whose agent will be deleted.

Unfortunately that term is thrown around much too casually on this site and I really believe its elimination would help improve the standards enormously.

Just a thought.

I've been out of here for a while and today I came just for a little time to distract myself from all the pressure which I'm dealing with now.

Believe me I didn't regret my time spent here!

Jahanshah, your response to that blog, was great, very  accurate and well done! You can be a real attorney,  you know?

I really enjoyed reading your blog and your response to those absurdities. Even though it is an old game from old "undesirable friends" but somehow it needed to be addressed in a direct and "dandan shekan" way as you did.

More power to you!

I love you, J :)

Spy vs Spy

by eroonman on

Thanks for the clarifications JJ, but you forgot to mention that since 1995, you haven't been a very effective spy. For all your "spy-bazi", you have somehow managed to publish more anti-government articles than anyone in the history of Iranian print!

Now, we all know that the Iranian government is inept and dumb. But digeh they would never sponsor the largest anti government site in history!

So either they are really that stupid, or you're as clean as a freshly vozoo'd mollah right before Free-Dinner-Friday.

Personally, I don't care if you are a spy, you've more than delivered free speech, with or without recent comment removings, and I am honored to read this site every single day.

The only criticism I can make, is that unfortunately, once again, yet again, all the wonderfully free talk, has led to precious little action.

It makes you think if all the wonderful "same old ideas" being debated, re-debated (master-debated if you will), and re-discussed incessantly for over a decade on this site, are anything more than chicken-shit politics roaring harmless from the mouths of cowardly lions who neutered by their own fears, merely happen to infest this tiny corner of the internet.

Jahanshah jan

This guy wanted to prove that there is no freedom of speech on this site, just look at the title of his blog and the question marks! He thought he could be as nasty as he wants to be, and if you deleted his post, he'd cry about it and question your "nothing is secret" motto and the freedom of speech on the site.

He made himself look like the fool he is.

But why are you indulging him and answering his accusations? I can still hear you say "bikhial bezar began" when it's someone else being attacked unfairly... but why do you explain yourself to someone like "freedom5" or 6 or 7! You've been open and honest and forthcoming about your life, your experiences, your relationships etc... you've made your life an open book. Your resume and life stories and pictures are everywhere and can be searched and read by all. You have nothing to prove or disprove. Engaging this person seems like a waste of time.

I agree with Dr Saadat Nouri: Be kind and generous to yourself too!

Veiled Prophet of Khorasan

Re: Accountability

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on

People rely on anonymity in order to be able to express their opinions without fear of retaliation. If JJ or anyone else were to exporse them as you demand at the minimum he site will lose credibility and turn into a "yes sir" forum.  Unfortunately in our culture people seem not to grasp this. Everyone is for freedom as long as it is their freedom. As soon as someone else opens their mouth to talk; then there are demands to shut them up.

This happened with: the Shah; the IRI; the Nationalists; the Marxists; and several posts here are proving it yet again. I sure hope this site does not fall into that trap. Are words so powerful that we should be afraid god forbid they may expose our mistakes?

There is a distinct difference between presenting different and opposing opinions and allowing a user and / or his so-called lawyer issue legal notices, threats and demands on a social site.  No one has said that JJ should block people of differing views.  He should, however, seriously consider blocking those who engage in abusive conduct, such as the ones that I just mentioned.  No other site would have put up with this type of abuse.

A Note to Jahanshah Javid

by M. Saadat Noury on

For years, I have noted that "Iran Politics Club" has posted many articles and pieces against successful professional iranians. You got to ignore that unknown club.

Please note that when someone reacts to you, you see a reflection of how others perceive you. And please remember to be kind and generous to yourself, too.

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on

The whole point of having a blog is to have diverse points of view. JJ obviously understands this. I don't defend freedom of speech because I have to. I do it because I want to hear all the other sides. The Shah missed this point; so has IRI. The best way to learn is to hear opposing points of view. If I just wanted my own view, then I would record myself and listen to it.

Until we understand and implement this in our own community we won't get far. If you don't like a post, don't read it. No reason to demand we shut them down.

don't understand the rationale behind you allowing certain users to remain users.  Iranian.com is a private enterprise that has no obligation whatsoever to anyone in providing them access to the site, let alone allowing them to become registered users and / or commenters.   To that end, I am puzzled as to why you would even consider allowing an individual who is threatening you with a lawsuit and / or his so-called attorney to be registered users of your site.  I guess in that sense you are much nicer than I am. I would have blocked their accounts and / or their IP addresses a long time ago and told them to go pound sand.

I think you should seriously think about outing those posters who have consistenly used this site for their propaganda and slander, espeically against those who don't "hide" behind silly avatars.  Either they will use their real names or they're out.  I'm not advocating this as a general policy but only against a select few.  Your site will not suffer. If anything it will encourage a much better level debate than the current crap that passes as debate. Just a thought.
