In French, We don't say Il est Azarbaijan But C'est L'Azarbaijan, so if you want to show off with some french do it correctly next time !

And it's true that in french  they add a D after J to prounce Jd. It's optional but even  more correct to add the D, If you never saw it before doesn't mean that it's uncorrect, by critisizing about it you just show your own ignorance ! which is not very important to us (readers) but you also show that you are a mal-intented person !

Spelling the name of the province

by MaryamJoon on

Spelling the name of the province correctly has nothing to do with 'French' - even monarchists know this, your highness. Comprenez-vous? Il est "Azarbaijan."  And even the "French" spelling is different than what you wrote in the title: look at where you put the "d" (after the "j" instead of before it).

The serious links are already there. It's a shame you clutter up such a serious issue with teenage celebrity-worship content.

Totally pointless political grandstanding

by MaryamJoon on

First it pains me to see that you cannot spell Azarbaijan correctly in the article title - there is no "d" in the name.

Original spelling - Atropatkan: اترپتکان

Present spelling - Azarbaijan:  آذربایجان

I wish her well and wish that she enjoys her life and her grandchildren.  But her silence over the years, and particularly her son's, are a day late and a dollar short.  This reads more like an attempt to ride the coat tails of an issue that someone of her position should have better and more fully addressed years ago, but even more so both her sons.

I didn't even bother to read her views on this subject.  Same criticism holds true for NIAC, and every other Iranian organization that has said nothing on this issue.  My faith is in the scholars who have gone after this issue for years, not for latecomers and grandstanding.

Again I wish her well and hope she enjoys her grandchildren and life. But that's a separate issue.

She should have given out links so people can better inform themselves - soft violin music and conclusions just further mask the problem:
