Baharam dear: a good car can inspire a decent driver ...

Yes, you are right, we don't have the monoploy on aggression. As you can also see in the couple of comments down below, where we have discussed and agreed on the same issue.

On "subduing our warring disposition": how about expanding the traditional circumcision, to include a testicule? That should moderate our testosterone level ... lol.

Dear SAM! There is a lot of truth to what you have stated here!

by fanoos on

Where is the gender-based subjective pronoun in our language and grammar? That's the equivalent to 'he', 'she', or 'it' in F(P)arsi?

We tend to lump together 'he', 'she', and 'it' as 'Oo' and the rest is the chaos and hell we have been living in for the past several thousands of years.

Principally, we are lacking any individualism in our culture and
history. we live based on our tribal orientation & habits which includes war,
desecration, and elimination to the point of de-rooting each tribe!

May we learn to differentiate amongst and live along individuals if we are want to see better and happier days ahead!

What Farsi editor are you using, may I ask? I am looking for one and the one you are using looks prettybgood to me. Of course the editor is the car and it is the driver that makes it win the race. You can be driving a jalopy and you end up winning the race.Good points you have made. Yet, I don't think we in the Middle East have the monopoly on war and vahshigari. That's the nature of the beast we are. It takes tremendous effort for us to live up to our own self-proclaimed title of : ashraf makhlooghat. One way we can hope to become better is to keep pointing out our shortcomings and urging each other to be and do better. It is a slow and painful process to try and change what comes with our genes. Perhaps even subduing our warring disposition is a step in the right direction.

Thank you Shazdeh! Or bedeh be adam'e bekareh!

I completed the last verse for Khamenei!

You are 100% correct! Belligerence and confrontation are in our genetic construct!.

As a teenager growing up in Iran in the 70's, I witnessed this behavior among my own family, relatives, and neighbors. Despite our economic well-being, we had to pick on one another and look for excuses to fight.

I can see this behavior in the IC community. A lot of people here are looking for a fight!

Khamenei and his gang are looking for a fight. I say, let's give "it" to the them!

Thank you again Shazdeh!

Yes, and of all the mankind ... but here we talk about the M.E.

by Shazde Asdola Mirza on

Aggression, destruction and war are actually 50% of the fundamental basis of the whole modern civilization and technology development. "War is the father of all things!"

But here I am having a poetic attack on the senseless and endless blood-lust affair between the ME man and his wars and vendetta.

The other 50% of progress and civilzation is made of love and empathy (the Mother of every innovation). But in the ME the ratio is more like 90% to 10%, which makes us great warriors, but poor builders and innovators.

Indeed, one of the foundations (and fundamental problems)

of the Middle Eastern culture!

Sorry about the typo.

My Farsi editor's creater must have been a real "Aragh Khor". It only writes Iraq if you type "Araaagh"!
