All day long I have lain in bramble bushes in wait
silently like a snake waiting to strike
if I can catch an angel walking
run after her and grab
hold her ankles as
she lifts me into
the heavens
before
I lose
my grip
and fall back
into hell it would be
worth eternity in pain for one
glimpse of that light from which we
came, like salmon jumping back up stream
like geese in spring flying home, I long to drink
from that spring where life began so pure and crystalline
I long for the dream time and trance, the Sama of our fathers
