Destiny

Gazing up at the winking stars

I ran into the old stone wall

My knees forgave me

But not my heart

Where are you taking me?

It repeats and again

I don’t really know says I

I only chase the far horizon

And see nothing along the way

Future

by Brian Appleton on

without a plan we won't know how to get there

without imagination we won't recognize it when we do

without a vision we won't know what it will look like

without hope we are ruled by despair

note:

I learned in my youth that we can participate in and experience things beyond our understanding and that does not diminish or deny the reality of the phenomena just because it can't be explained by the confines of our reason

میرزاقلندر

Wake up call!

by میرزاقلندر on

What is a dream?

A wingless flight,

A voiceless cry,

An eye with no sight,

A hand with no grip,

All gone by daylight...

Even a mirage like a rainbow

by Brian Appleton on

has its reality though short lived...

boredom, routine, cynicism

these are the slayers of dreams

and what are we without dreams...

میرزاقلندر

My poetic thing was kicked again

by میرزاقلندر on

Then I heard a whispering voice

To my ears, never heard before,

"Lest the path you venture now

Leads you to a mirage, and nothing more"
