There was a video posted last night in blog entry titeling'was the shah anti-semetie?'I cant find it, has it been removed?moved?if It is removed! why?there was nothing improper in it, It was a real interview(of course an old one)accompained by a little comment from the gentelman how posted it. Nothing offensive or insulting!!I have watched videos, comments, caricatures....ranting and mouth offing the late Ayatollah Khomeni and never was removed!!!!Is here any kind of favirotisim toward specific political view?or simply It isnt COOL to be on the other side.

Thanks for spotting what

Thanks for spotting what happened and I take full responsibility for not posting an explanation, and only reacting after somebody noticed the missing blog.  I honestly didn't want to delete the entire thing - it was my mistake and I apologize for that.  I wished to delete the final paragraph in which I made the irrelevant jab at Reza Pahlavi - I thought this was unnecessary and silly of me.  Also after viewing the clip again - I admit the comments of the late Shah were more ambiguous than I had made out, and as Q pointed out, not the best evidence in any case - and furthermore not especially important considering the more vitriolic rhetoric against Israel coming out of Tehran at the moment.  I think there are certain elements of anti-Semitism in the Shah's comments, but no more than you hear amongst most middle class Iranians.  I jumped too quickly to make a point out of his comments because of my own political predilections which aren't sympathetic to the Shah or the Islamic Republic.  I received some very nasty responses from individuals such as Parvaneh Kemp (and I stupidly went down to her level and responded in kind) and was sent some other disgusting emails, but I guess that that comes with the territory.  I apologize once again for accidently deleting the post and will repost it in a more sober form, since a little time has given me the opportunity to reconsider my more inflammatory take on the clip.  This is what happens when one makes blog entries quickly, in the early hours of the moring and unthinkingly as I did.  Again I sincerely apologize to all of you, whether you diagreed with me or not.  Best wishes, even to dearest Parvane.

Thank you Bahram for your sharp observation. I engaged the author of that post (Eskandar Sadeghi) in a discomforting debate (discomforting to him) and after my last reply (which was not published) the whole page was removed. In my last reply I clearly demonstrated that this guy Sadeghi was of double standards and his intentions were to make baseless allegations against the Shah. Sadeghi who had admitted to be of Qajari decent had stated that he as a Qajari offspring had an independent political view from the traditional Qajari line of thinking but on the same page he had accused Reza Shah of being a Nazi sympathiser (hence an anti-Semite) and that his son, the last Shah, was under the influence of his father. I am glad that you reopened this debate and I hope your page will not have the same fate as Sadeghi's. I can't rule out a hand played by JJ in removing that page. He is getting paranoid about having a "clean" site and in doing so, he has turned a flourishing forum into a scratch pad for the compliant scribblers to practise their scribbling skills.

I left a number of comments in that blog. However, the creator of the blog can always freely delete the whole blog. That could be one possiblity. You should email Eskandar Sadeghi and ask him if he deleted it.

Don't jump into conclusions yet!
