" The U.S. Secret Service is looking into a controversial column by an Atlanta Jewish newspaper publisher that mulled the assassination of an American president.Andrew Adler, owner and publisher of the Atlanta Jewish Times, wrote a January 13 column about the threat of Iran to Israel. He posed three options for the Jewish state to counter the Iranian regime. One of them called for a "hit on a president in order to preserve Israel's existence." "Give the go-ahead for U.S. based Mossad agents to take out a president deemed unfriendly to Israel in order for the current vice president to take his place and forcefully dictate that the United States' policy includes its helping the Jewish state obliterate its enemies."

So let's look at this again: This guy is proposing to assasinate U.S president, because he is not willing to start a war with Iran? But as relevant, the option of making (or rather implementing the peace deal with Palestinian) to render Islamic Regimes influence irrelevant?

They'd rather assassinate their own leader than make peace
by maghshoosh on Mon Jan 23, 2012 09:24 AM PSTIt was like-minded extremists who, after the Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin signed the Oslo Accords w/ Arafat, held demonstrations in Israel w/ posters of Rabin dressed in SS uniform, goading one of their loonies to assassinate him. Haaretz has this on the Adler affair.
Would I be accused of being anti-Semite...

This is great. For years the policy was to push the US to do the dirty work for Israel and take the blame for it. Now the ostensible urgency of the situation does not grant them that luxury anymore. So they have come out in open to push their agenda with any price even if the price is the US president himself!
