If sighe was such popular practice among Shi'a all the Shi'a's supreme clerics must have had hundreds of temporary wives and several hundred "bache sigheh - something like the Ghajaari kings used to do. In fact most of the Ghajaari prince and princesses are the result of the sigheh between their fathers and the daughter of a peasant who lived on their land or worked for them. But the Shi'a grand Ayatollahs who are supposed to set examples have rarely ever done so and they may have had a couple of wives but not tens of sighes. So you see your arguments dont stick brothers.

First you need to read koran very carefully. In Surat "Al Omran" said clearly that women can sell her body in exchange for money.  Umar wanted to delete that part Islam. Muta or Sigheh was practiced for a while during time of Mohammad, but according to Sunni haddith Mohammad banned the practice of Muta, but according to Sheikh Colany "Osoole Kafi" Shia continued this type of prostitution till now. The funny part is no shia accept their mother, sister and family member to become victim of Sigheh, but they blindly accept it.  THAT IS DOUBLE STANDARD 

Seems the guy in the video was inspired by me because my love story was before this guy met that women.

• I am a single 50 year old guy.
• My kids are grown up and my wife for whatever reason is not around. Maybe passed away; divorced or ran off with a handsome 20 year old movie star.
• I want to get a maid to do the house work with benefits. But I don't want the pain in the a** of having a marriage.
• I find a nice 40 year old lady who needs a job and a place to stay.

Is Shi'ism about shighe (mot'eh) only? So you have decreed if someone wants to be a Shi'a he or she should believe in sigheh first? Marhaba brother I didn't realise you are a Shi'a cleric too and Sahebe Fatwa!! 

Where did I say I didn;t approve of sighe per se? I said it is a contract that must be held in very special and strict conditions and not to be abused by the mullahs as it has been done for decades  if not for centuries. Prophet Mohammad was not a child abuser as in his days it was perfectly acceptable to have a girl of the age of nine married off to an older man (married off does not mean to have sex with - it was principally for protection and financial reasons). As it is acceptable these days to have gay marriages. You cannot judge the norm of 1400 years ago by the norms of these days.

Please let us not make this debate too personal. My wife is a moslemah and thinks along the same path that I  think.

Like I said before, I am not married and my sister is married and it is up to her and her husband make a decision to apprear in the movie or not. Sure, I won't embaressed to see my sister to be famous movie star who happened to be half naked in one of her movies.

   In fact,. my girl friend was posing naked in French Magazine. Her ex husband was French photographer who were using her as a model. I still have her photos  in french magazine. I am not embaressed to say that was my girl friend. In fact, I feel good about it. I feel such a lovely, attractive girl happened to be in love with someone like me who shares his country (Iran)  with backward and dark minded people like you. This is not meant to offend you brother,  but it is my true feeling that some people have dark age mentality and claims to be from Iran. That shows me that you have absolutely no grasp on the real meaning of freedom of speech and democratic values. Is this answer good enough? I don't approve of my mother, my sister, my daughter, my aunt, my niece, and so on to become sigheh of anybody, let alone an Akhoond, even for one second. Sigheh has to to be used under very strict rules and comitments and not the way it is abused by this regime or by the mullahs and NO I don't approve of it at all. But at least I am consistent and honest in my expression of opinion. Some of you keep going back to the question of decision and consent and all that becaue you want to avoid your double standards. I am not married, so I can't say anything about being married and having wife. No daughter or son either, but I have a sister who is married and I think it is her and her husband decision if she wants to go to movie industry or some kind of art business. I can't make decision for them what to do. I think Islamic mentality is based on making decision for others. Is that right?
