    when I was young, but past

    the age of discretion

    I fell in love, a premeditated

    walk of the circuit oblong.

    this love proved to be yet another

    in a long line of spring of brine, yet

    the silver in the gray, the light in the shadow

    is the reward of the forlorn.

    what I did learn through painful trial

    here I will share with you:  a Light

    emanating from the Center.

    of the colorful Eye of the Divine.

    Love tears away

    the imposed given

    and shafts of truth penetrate from

    unseen quarters.

    what you will see, young man,

    should you care to love without fear

    is the kaleidoscope of the living-

    Heart of Man-kind.

    each and every love, sometimes

    brutal, sometimes kind,

    tears away a bit of the masks

    that lie: we are not one.

    God is One, and so are

    His Children.  We pray, we

    cast spells, we cry, longing

    to prove: 1 + 1 = 1.
