Iraj Khan - It is OK...

by alborz on

... to have a problem with ideas that are different from yours.

However, I caution you to not jump to any conclusions about whether concepts that are different from yours will or will not work.  This is particularly important when your interpretation of these concepts may be limited, incomplete or worst yet, wrong.

In anycase, you need not be concerned about African Baha'is contributing to Iran, as they already are.  The entire Bahai World Community, which is made up of those in Africa, have joined to condemn human rights violations in Iran.  Which other non-governmental organization (NGO) has been able to successfully do this in international forums, such as the UN and various world parliaments?  None, I dare say.

If you are expecting African Baha'is to go and build roads and bridges, they would if their safety could be assured.  You seem to forget that even Iranian Baha'is are not assured safety.

I understand that you are concerned about Iran.  We all are, but the way to help any one country and its people is tied to a global system, which is disfunctional.  As long as you are focused on Iran, separate from this disfunctional global system, then we are assured of one thing, more of the same.

Alborz

PS - Baha'is live in all parts of the globe and are very decisive.  They believe in that "The World is but One Country and Mankind its Citizens".  There is no ambiguity in this...buddy!

I have no problem with your religion

by Iraj Khaneh bche tehran (not verified) on

Please look at your arguments. You are not decisive enough to choose between your country and your religion. If Bahai is a WORLD RELIGION, then we would have problem in the future. Who says that the African Bahais will contribute to IRAN?

No buddy, as long as your religious beliefes affects your patriotism, it i sbetter to keep you religion ouside the country. By the way, I am happy about what I am and I don't want to join Bahai community and feel equal with others in other countries. If you are a faithful Bahai, then you may believe that all Bhais of the world shoudl live in one country. No buddy, this will not work.

While I appreciate your sentiments and understand why we need to restore the honor worthy of Iran, its people and its heritage, I would like to simply point out that the love that Baha'is the world over have for Iran is because it is the "Cradle of their Faith".  Baha'is in the five continents of the world and the hundreds of islands around the globe that make up the 6.5 million strong Baha'i World Community love Iran and consider it as the sacred birth place of their religion.  We as Iranian Baha'is are considered as the descendents of those brave and heroic 20,000 early believers that gave up their lives during the reign of the Qajars and later during the reign of the Pahlavis suffered in many ways.  Today's persecution under the IRI, as  referenced in the main video, has not deterred the Iranian Baha'is from serving their fellow countrymen.

You, as my dear Iranian brother, I hope, can join the rest of the Iranian Baha'is, which number 350,000, to uphold the principles of this faith which is based on the Oneness of Mankind and demonstrate our long standing heritage of hospitality and welcome those that have chosen a Faith whose Prophet Founder was a Persian nobleman by birth.  They recite his words and strive to demonstrate their faith in his teachings through their deeds.

The teachings of the Baha'i Faith is for all humanity and its principles, when established fully in this world, will remove the concerns that you express regarding such things as "national interests" and what the "Persian Gulf" is called.  As this video promises repeatedly, Iranian Baha'is are committed to rejuvenating the land of their faith's birth, and the World Baha'i Community through its good offices around the world has been able to garner the support of the world community for these persecuted lovers of Iran so that they can continue to serve the nation of Iran. That is all.  The Baha'i Faith is a World Faith that embraces humanity and unlike other faiths cannot be identified with any one particular group or group of cultures or nationalities in certain parts of the world.  To attempt to define it as such is antithetical to its founding principles and beliefs.

Az the video states the name of Iran will once again be respected, but this time for being the birthplace of the principle of the Oneness of Mankind.

Be well,

Alborz

Bahai

by Iraj khan bacheh Tehran (not verified) on

It doesn't matter if somebody is Bahai; what maters is that she/he is IRANIAN. Forget about IRI. The essence of IRI is to anoy people, to restrict freedom in difernet ways. If it doesn't do, then you have to wonder.

But I have a point: The day after freedom of Iran, hopefuly, a Bahai takes presidency office. Then he should be careful not to give away our money to Bahais in Nigeria or Portugal or any other country where there are Bahais. He can be Bahai, he can be whatever he wants to be, but he has to knwo that he is IRANIAN first. I saw in teh clip, the pictures of golbe and other people with other colors. Why these pictures in this video. Why should we care about others when we are talking about OUR OWN COUNTRY?hum?

Do Bahais of Afirca care about distortion of the name of "PERSIAN GULF"? Obviously, NO! Then why should we care about them at all. I am not a facist, but I want to pinpoint the importnace of the point that religion should not make us forget what we are.

Bahais are nice people and I am happy that it is an IRANIAN RELIGION. It means that we had enough sophistication to come up with a religion and series of arguments.

It seems that no matter what the subject is, someone throws in another story about Bahai's.

Nice poem Alborz.

برابری و برادری برای ملت ایران

oneness of humanity (not verified)

//reference.bahai.org/en/t/b/KA/ka-5.html

Isn't it ironic?

by Bunyip on

Our people are being killed by a bunch of Arab lovers, who have taken to themselves to kill some innocent souls, because they are Bahaees;

yet....

Our land was invaded by Iraqis, with full support from all other Arabs, including the Paletinians;

yet...

this site is full of articles/ blogs/ etc blaming Israelis killing Palestinians, and throwing full support behind the Arabs.

The snakes of Zahhak are mercilessly killing our people.

Why do we not see articles/ blogs flooding this site in support of our own sons and daughters? What have the Palestinaians done for us, other than killing our people, taking our money, using and abusing us?

How ironic!!!

simply beautiful

by MRX1 (not verified) on

It's a beautifull poetry. As much as I hate islamo facists, I appologize on behalf of them for what they have done and doing to the bahai people in Iran. These people are so ignorant, so backward so behind times, so anti Iranian that leaves me speechless......
