You may argue whole day long over who killed more. But in reality both Islam and Christianity derive from the same source. I do not believe in either one. Who cares if one killed a million vs twenty million?

They are both obstacles to human progress. We are better off without them. Give them and all organized religion up. Go find spirituality on your own if you need it. As long as we have any organized religion we are slaves to it.

You make no sense. Nothing like on the scale of the Spanish Inquisition has ever occured in Islamic lands. Yes, certain Muslim powers of the day have persecuted this or that group or minority, but NEVER in the history of Islamic civilization have Muslims ever put their hand to what the Catholic Church did. Nor have Muslims undertaken the kind of genocide that the Spanish and the Portuguese did in the Americans with the  sanction of the Church. The Muslim empires had as much weapons as the Christian West did in the 14th-16th centuries. Even then they did not commit the kind of violence Europeans have. Also you are pointing to the atrocities made in Europe and combine them and with ones made by USA, but you see Islamic counties as different entities, If you Take Indonesia from east to marocco in west, chechnya in north till nigeria in south and count them as one entity then i guess you can come up with a pretty good list of atrocities as well. And maybe they have killed less, but then it would be because of them having less weapons and losing more wars. It would be like saying muslims are more eco friendly because they use less energy. well it is because they do not have the infrastructure and the economy not because muslims themselves caring about the environment which after seeing how people in Iran live to be true.

I raised 2 issues in my previous comment. It has not been addressed yet.

!. The stoning of women is one of the more savage, and revealing aspects of Islam. Have you explained it for your wife before she converted to Islam that men are allowed to marry to 4 women and if any of them sleep with another man (because it is hard to satisfy 4 women especially after age 40) the stonning of woman will take place.

2. Watching the movie "not without my daughter" reveals 2 important aspects of Islam.

A. Taqiyya means lying. It is not permitted by sunni, but it practices by shia. When you're watching video explain for your wife that it is okay to lie according to shia instruction. For example, Dr. Mahmoodi brought his wife to Iran for visit but he lied and wanted to stay there for good. That is Taqiyya as his father mentioned in the movie.  

B. Wife beating. The movie reveals what Quran instructed to husband. 

"Men are the managers of the affairs of women for that God has preferred in bounty one of them over another, and for that they have expended of their property. Righteous women are therefore obedient, guarding the secret for God's guarding. And those you fear may be rebellious admonish; banish them to their couches, and beat them. Have you explained these principles before your wife converted to Islam.?

• Yes we have blamed other for our problems. Many of the charges are true. British; Russians; USA did everything possible to hold us back. But we also bear a lot of the responsibility. Without our own stupidity they would have fialed. They tried the same *** to China. In the guise of "democracy" they were about to turn China into a mess. The Chinese authorities figured it out and prevented it. Thus saving their nation from the "Western Plan".
• I have no interest in the land of Israel. As far as I go they may keep it. Or fight with the Palestninians. It is none of our business.
• I do not care who God gave Israel to.
• There is no us and them. A good number of best Iranians *are* Jews. I am an Iranian and see no difference between Jew or otherwise. I do not see who these "them" are since we are all Iranians.
• The movie "Not without my daughter" was made in Israel and there is the connection. If you don't beleive me then go do some research.
• We are not "Muslim Brothers"; we are Iranians. We are a multicultural nation. I care not about Sunni or Shia or Jew. I do not find my identitiy in Islam. It is a divisive factor not a good one. I find it in being Iranian.

I think the reason this bit of news has created such discussion is that the lady in question is Jewish.  Nothing makes a Moslem happier than seeing a Jew out of the arena.

 This said, I think you should be more concerned with what is being done to our minds.  For the past 2-3 centuries we have blamed everyone else for what has happend to us.  It was the British, the French, the Farangi.  Now it is the Zionists.  Blame them for everything bad that happens to us.

This once I agree with IMF. That movie was full of crap and made in Israel. Not that I have anything good to say about IRI or IMF. But I know many people who go back with their Western spouses all the time.

Many of my friends take their kids and Western spouse. No one every had those issues or decide to play those games. They go; usually have a lot of money due to exchange rate. Mostly spend time with family then return.

Hijab within reason should be a matter of choice. However I oppose any Hjijab that will cover the face. None should even be mandatory. However I have issues with chador and am absolutely opposed to burkha.

Yes I do recognize IRI as a genuine Islamic regime. One more reason I am against Islam. Before IRI I used to be a Muslim but they showed me what Islam is and I left Islam: thank you IRI. 

At the time we wanted to go on a trip to Iran. They wanted my wife to be "married" according to their rules. That way I could get her papers more easily. It was purely a matter of getting the paperwork. 

IRI whether I like it or not runs Iran. They issue the papers and I do recognize that. I am not going to deny reality. So if I want to go to Iran I need to get papers from them. Or end up like the "hikers"did!

Dr. Mahmoody, the Iranian guy being portrayed in the movie, Not Without my daughter, died on Aug 23, 2009 at age of 70....not sure if he participated the post-election protest? He died without seeing his daughter one last time.

I have started to feel that this video is staged 'cause this lady was saying the exact words IRI wanted to hear. She said that Hejab looks "pure", "dignified" and "beautiful"! It is a "pride" for Muslim women.

She failed to admit that hejab is mandatory for Iranian women even though the woman is not a Muslim.....she failed to mention that the consequnece of not wearing hejab is 76 lashes!

I read a book called "The Good Daughter" several months ago. In this true story, an Iranian lady went to Germany and fell in love with a Catholic German guy........before they got married, the Iranian lady made the German guy to have circumcision......the guy had an infection as well as 103-104 degree fever.......later they went to Iran for their wedding, before the wedding, the lady picked up some kind of application form stating 16 different requirements for marrying a Farangi....one of the requirements is that the guy has to convert to Islam.....so this German dude would do anything to marry the Iranian lady......so he went to a mullah and went thru the conversion ceremony......and then they were able to get married in Iran......but I have no idea if the German dude is a true Muslim or just a Muslim on paper.....this German dude is a heavy drinker and alcoholic.......He drinks before and after his conversion.....that is why I have some reservation about the last minute conversion & the made for marriage conversion...... if love is unconditional, the conversion is really not needed!

now i do respect any woman who based on her own free will choose Hejab but I do not think so these women would have embraced Hejab if they were not married to these guys ....  well .... love makes you blind
