thanks!

Hamsadeh, that has become my personal motto these days! :)

Thank you Fatollah and Darius.  Darius I didn't know he is Teymour Bakhtiar, it was just a nice photo! :)

Ari, I'm speechless... even though I know it's a BIG ta'rof (not even close to the reality), I appreciate your support and positive feedback (as always).

I love this video

Has all the artful elements that make Khayaam a classic. It refuses to surrender humor and introspection despite the bullying of Fate. The very plaintiveness ironically showcases the fiercely defiant human soul.

Beautiful Tribute !

Also noticed you used some of the photos I have posted over the years for the pictory section ;0)

Notably of the IRanian Army parade in London during WWII and also noticed the photos of the Bakhtiary clan notably of Teymour Bakhtiar ( who became chief SAVAK and was a rival to the Shah and later assassinated in Iran in the early 70's admittingly on the orders of the Shah and probably for good reasons since Teymour Bakhtiar wanted to instigate a coup). He was educated at France's Military School in Saint Cyr which is the French equivalent of America's WestPoint !

There has always been a very strange relationship between major Iranian Families who ruled iran or belonged to powerful tribes. It is filled with stories of love or hate and friendship or betrayed loyalties.

In the above link for instance you can see a very old photo of Teymour Bakhtiar and his cousin Shapour Bakhtiar in their youth during their student years together in Beirut. What a strange fate that Teymour a power hungyry general who tried to topple his King and was assassinated on orders of the Shah where as Shapour Bakhtiar became the Shah's Prime Minister and tried his best to save the monarchy from downfall only to be later assassinated by the mullah's IRI death squads in the suburbs of Paris.

Two entirely different paths and yet the same deadly Fate at the end of the road ...

Alas Politics is truly a dirty game especially in the blood stained history of our country Iran.

Thank you for refreshing our memory on part of our collective Diaspora Social history.

Movafagh Basheed,

DK
