Secret War on Iran

Is the US already at war with Iran?

In "America's Secret War", Vanguard correspondent Mariana van Zeller travels to the Iraq-Iran border to investigate claims that the United States is supporting militant groups that are attacking Iran. In the rugged Qandil mountains, she meets with up with anti-Iranian guerillas who have been launching deadly raids against the Islamic Republic. A good percentage of the fighters are women, and Mariana accompanies a small group of them through what many believe has become the frontline of the US's secret war with Iran.

I'm sure he, and a few others like him, could easily convey their august opinions in 500 words or less instead of wasting the readers' valuable bandwidth. Iran for all Iranians -- Please read this and judge fo yourself

by Amir Nasiri (not verified) on

Dear Friends,

Let us for once have a professional and civilized discussion without insulting one another but by having opposite views. let us practice democracy by hearing someone else's opposite view and listen to their reasoning to their arguments, without personalizing and insulting each other.

As far as our beloved Kurdish people, Azeri people and other minorities in Iran as well as political activist who come from all corners of our motherland, who have been oppressed and terrorized by the terrorists elements operating withing Iran as well as outside.

There is no doubt that anyone would argue the acts carried out by the our Kurdish country men or baluchis or anyone else is legitimate, BUT for decades of continuous harassment, ignorance, oppression and belittling of minorities in our country people take other means to combat it.

Iran with its vast and reach resources has only benefited a few . And I am serious only a few.

90% of Iran is living in some sort of poverty.

I am not making up this number. Please even visit IRI site and you take a look at some of the statistics they have provided about the health of the country and economy.

IRI believes:

29% inflation rate
20% unemployment rate

They also suggest that since this wintr will be a cold winter many people will have no ways to keep themselves warm.

Why haven't the basic of the people ever met with oil revenues?
Why are people still live like the country is worst than any third world country?

Why are my people still live in huts made of mud and have no basic living conditions?

Are we different than our neighbors such as Kuwait, UAE, Saudi or Qatar?

We have oil, natural gas and many other rich resources?

Why the Mullahs who used to be beggars are living like kings?

Why are the baluchis, Kurds are constantly harassed and bombed and killed?

Why are women treated like 3rd class citizens in a country that they gave birth to?

Why are bahais, Christians, jews and other minorities are treated as if we tolerate them? (It is their country more than anyone elese, the jews and bahasis and Christiane, Sunnis and Zoroastrians have done more for iran and Iranians than the Shiite majority)

IRI regime and their elements in Iran are dividing the country and are causing the country to collapse.

Three weeks ao when the world was collapsing due to the economic turmoil the Iranian president and the supreme leaders made fun of the world, keep in mind oil was still very high.

Now the oil values have droppd to $60/barrel. Who is laughing now?

With all he sanctions and everything else in place and the isolation that Iran is under by the actions committed by the IRI regime the people of Iran will suffer one more year.

More Iranian children will die from hunger, cold or beating in the hands of their father who is a drug addict due to the unemployment rate. More women are forced to do prostitution in the neighboring countries to pay for their families.

Wake up folks you either with your people of Iran or IRI?

Most Iranians Support Kurdish Fighters

by Rok goo (not verified) on

Any secular opposition has the full right to fight this murderous and medieval regime by any means. It is logical that such an opposition may use the conflicts between the IRI and the international community to get support--otherwise cannot survive.
--mollahs spend most Iranian resources to impose their criminal regime.

The Kurdish in this time a common enemy. Most Iranian people also support their tactical alliance with anyone to free the country from the murderous regime. Once Iran is free, mollahs and their supporters are gone, people will choose their independent, democratic, and deserved state.

WAKE UP CALL: Terrorists or Freedom Fighters ?

by Darius Kadivar on

I really don't know if I have to cry or laugh at the comments I read here ? Don't You see what is taking place under your very noses ?

I am amazed by your general naivity and endorsement of this report.

Saman toh chee meegih deegeh, you stillwork for VOA or your adapting your rhetoric for the next administration and new employers?

Abarmard and Saman you should be ashamed of yourselves. Since when is the opinion of a Spy like Baer worthy of anything ? He is on the payroll of the IRI like most IRI lobbyists. It is in the interest of their "carreer" and has nothing to do with being worried about American interests in the region or the cause of Freedom and Democracy for Iran or Iranians.

What is shocking you in this report anyway ? Kurds have always asked to be independant and the communist idealogy is always appealing to the suppressed and the weak in the face of oppression.

To compare them to Terrorist for fighting FOR their land and ON  their land against the central power in Tehran and their Revolutionary guards is like accusing the American Indians to resist General Custer.

GET REAL !

What is going on today has NOTHING to Do with Iran's interests or territorial integrity. All these pseudo experts are on the IRI payroll because they offer an oppurtunity for the Islamic Republic to influence the US foreign policy in the region. The IRI lobbies want to destroy any and by that I say ANY opposition to the IRI both locally and internationally thanks to its lobbies who are actively trying to penetrate the American Media Outlets under the cover of respectability. They aim even to undermine VOA and replace the excellent Crew like Baharloo and others and replace them with their OWN People.

You guys are INCREDIBLY NAIVE OR DISHONEST !

First You Highjack the words like Genocide and Holocaust with your Third World rhetoric and anti- Americanism and now you want to distort the term "terrorist" and put it on these poor fellows fighting for their own survival.

I have no sympathy for their ideology nor do I support an independant Kurdistan, but since when have people in this region particularly those living on the Frontier been treated with respect or given any other choice than to defend themselves or oppose the central Revolutionary governement in Iran ?

The people you call terrorist here were crucial in helping many Iranians to escape the Islamic Republic's henchmen and find refuge in neighbouring Turkey and then find their way to the West be them political refugees, Baha'is, Jews or other minorities threatened by execution or suppression.

You guys are INCREDIBLE ! Yek Enghelab Kafi nabood keh maro Beghahand Va HALA BAH Komakeh NIAC meekhaheed Keh Baz Ham beh IRI Koon Bedeem ?

Beh Keeh meekhan Godrat Bedeed Beh Een ADAMAYEH FASCIST ?

Michel Renouf  ( click on her name to see her profile: She is a regular "expert" invited on the IRI TV):

Khak Too Saretoon Vaghan Khejalat Bekesheed. We cannot offord being Neutral towards this aggressive IRI media campaign that is all over the internet today from the Likes of Hamid Debashi to Soraya Ulrich and now Robert Baer. All converging towards the same goal : THE IRI SURVIVAL AND TURNING IT INTO A NUCLEAR SUPERPOWER IT IS NOT !

Now this report coincids just adequately with the visit of Barzani to Iran:

//www.payvand.com/news/08/oct/1239.html

You people have to WAKE UP, the IRI people will sell their mothers if they could to get even with the Iranian opposition and to make sure that the Islamic Government gets back as a major key player in the region, all that by overlooking Human Rights but more importantly by trying to export the ideals of the Revolution that has brought only misery and humiliation to our people at large and for two generations.

Now that the IRI is highjacking your patriotism under your very noses you want to endorse them and even Thank them for it.

YOU PERFECTLY KNOW that the Challenge today regarding Iran HAS NOTHING to do with Democracy or even Reforming the Islamic Republic. NO THIS IS ABOUT NUCLEAR PROLIFERATION and Redistriburing the geo strategic cards in the Region.

The Treacherous Alliance there is today it is between the  IRI lobbyists claiming to speak in the name of Iranian Americans and the IRI government in Tehran with the only aim of defending Iran's foreign policy Agenda and paving the way to the next Reformist Presidential candidate.

WHAT IS GOING ON IS CRYSTAL CLEAR AND YOU ARE ALL FALLING FOR IT !

THEY KILLED BAKHTIAR, THEY KILLED THE FOROUHARS, THEY KILLED OVEISSI, THEY KILLED SHAHRIAR CHAFIG, THEY KILLED FEREYDOUNEH FARROKHZAD !

//www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPpB-r5mMCI&feature=related

AND NOW THEY ARE HIGHJACKING OUR PATRIOTISM !

Some GRASSROOT Iranian American Organization ? My FOOT !

SHAME ON YOU !

WHAT WE NEED IS AN IRANIAN SOLIDARNOSC THAT REGROUPS ALL THE OPPOSITION AND SENSITIVITIES THE INTELLIGENTSIA (THAT EXISITS BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE IRAN) AGAINST THE FASCIST REGIME OF TEHRAN AND ITS SO CALLED RESPECTABLE REPRESENTATIVES !

WE NEED THESE PEOPLE TO REPRESENT US AND RELAY OUR VOICES TO THE AMERICAN AND WORLD MEDIA NOT AN IRI LOBBY:

So-called Iranian "opposition" is CIA's proxy force

by An Iranian Observer (not verified) on

Many of the Iranian "democracy activists" inside Iran and in Europe and the U.S. are propagandists and agents of the CIA. They are as much supportive of democracy as Shaban "bi Mokh" was. Why do we never hear these people criticize the U.S. government, even though they pay the tax money that the U.S. uses to invade other countries, kill more civilians than any other government in the world, and support terrorists, like the fanatical Sunni Jundollah, Marxist Pejak, and the Arab "Ahwazi" separatists. The same "opposition" who helped Saddam during his invasion of Iran are now writing articles and posting comments on Iranian.com, but this time in their newest incarnation as supporters of "human rights" and "democracy" (translation: U.S.-installed Pahlavist-Rajavist joint puppet dictatorship). As bad as the IRI is, the "opposition" is even worse.

I am SHOCKED by this news.

USA does not support Terrorist countries or groups.
This is simply one of those rear exceptions like (the Zionist entity) one in a 100 year event.

Talking of Israel, this video completely forgets to mention that US has Israelis agents set up training shop. Who else would train the terrorist but the biggest terrorist of them all, ISRAEL.

Here is another example

The Kurds and the Baluchi's

by fds (not verified) on

The Kurds and the Baluchi's fight for independence probably started way before even there was a country called America.

The Shah supressed and fought both minorities fiercely too.

This is not real journalism; it is propaganda by the left to score political gains. If the Kurds want to get some help from anyone, more power to them.

Khomeini and his goons were supported by the US and received plenty of help from France, Arab Countries and god know who else. Stop this hypocritical gibberish.

It is sad that we have to kill each other

by Amir Nasiri (not verified) on

For centuries Iran's minorities, have been under oppression, dictatorship by their own governmnet. Even the so called Iran's majority or Persians have been also under attack by the governmnet.

Oppression and continuous dictatorship forces people to do criminal activities and external forces usually take advantage of it.

It is not the Kurds fault or baluchis fault it is the IRI governmnet fault.

Do you think if the Kurds, baluchis or anyone else in Iran is treated with respect dignity and is given the right to speak for itself would do something like that to its people and country.

IRI governmnet has caused so much damage and has oppressed its people for so long that this things are happening.

If Iranian people do not stand up against IRI, I am afraid we will lose our country and remaining dignity we have.

To KurdAreCorrupt

by kurdish Warrior (not verified) on

Who are you to generalize Kurds as corrupt ? Your hatred is not only putting out the fire but increasing it..So watch your language... Without Kurds, Iran wouldn't have existed. Read history and you will understand...
Unfortunattly many of us have kept ignoring these issues by pretending that, it doesn't exist....These problems have occured since many years because of poverty, lack of economic structures in those region, lack of individual freedom, culture, language and etc..These problems has increased more after revolution where Islamic Shia institution was forced on top of other things to Iranian ethnic groups..Remember that only minority of Iranian Kurds want seperation and thats because of the anger and harrassments. If majority of Iranian Kurds wanted separation that would've happened long time ago. Hopefully after this regime gone, we will write new constitution where every Iranian will feel as citizen of that country.

The Secret War With Iran

by smhb on

Parisa,

I am with you on this. Also please look at a recent book by a zionist called "The secret war with Iran" by Ronen Bergman.

There is an analysis at the following site://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=10317

This secret war started immediately after the collapse of the monarchy. The war of aggression by Saddam was a manifestation of the imperialist / zionist war against Iran and its revolution.

They have not stopped and will not stop either. In their secret war anything and everything is permissible: instigating civil wars, instigating wars of aggressions, the sanctioning and use of chemical weapons against military and civilian personnel, the destruction of civilian infrastructure, propagation of lies and half truths, and ........

As stated by some the american public is begining to see a glimpse of things as the lies and policies based on those lies are unraveling and things are falling apart. For one I am not surprized a bit from what I read and see.

nothing new to Iranians

by Joel (not verified) on

1-This video might be amazing to Americans who think the worl is as big as US but not to the people of Middle East.

2- I don't support PAJAC or any other Kurdish rebellion, but I do believe that as long as poverty prevails in Iran, especially in porvinces except Tehran, we are going to see more and more of the young people joining these groups.

3- Down with anybody who wants to take an inch of my country.

4-Conclusion: IRI is the result of all these separatist activities.

Saman

Proxy vs. Proxy ...

by Saman on

Don't forget about "Jundollah" baluch group which is an extention of Sunni Al-Qaeda supporters. They too are being supported to fight on the other side of the border.

One importan info missing from the report was the support of Israel and training of the Peesh-Marga to fight Iranians. I spent 2 weeks with them in the same area and not many were shy in admiting Israel's support/training of the group.

Now you see why Iran supports Hamas, Hezbollah and Al-Sadr in Iraq?

Why the antagonism? It's not

by ParisaV (not verified) on

Why the antagonism? It's not a matter of it being new, it's a matter of it being reported on. No one else is doing it. This is the first this issue has been expressed on US National TV. I may work at Current, and that may warrant my defense of this piece. But first and foremost I am Iranian and feel that a shroud of ignorance has really hindered the way (American) society views us as a people and a country. And therefore, any journalistic endeavor to shed light on these issues is truly commendable.
