Ahmadinejad: Iran Will Keep Nukes as Long as Israel Does
Jewish Times / Jewish Times

Iran will continue to progress in its nuclear program as long as Israel continues to have nuclear weapons, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said.

The Iranian president made the remarks Tuesday during a meeting with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the semi-official state news agency ISNR reported.

“When an illegal regime possesses nuclear weapons, the other countries’ rights for peaceful nuclear energy cannot be denied,” ISNR quoted Ahmadinejad as saying.

Israel is widely believed to possess nuclear weapons but has never admitted to having them.

Yet, you offer them advice about who they should or shouldn't associate, lest they make themselves look bad. To who? To you?

I am glad you found my statement interesting. However, if you read my statement carefully (as many times as needed perhaps) you would find your answer!

That's an interesting comment you made. It almost sounds like you are admitting you aren't part of the green movement! Yet, you offer them advice about who they should or shouldn't associate with, lest they make themselves look bad. To who? To you? And if you aren't part of the green movement and you are Iranian, then what "democratic" faction do you belong to, that you would tell them what "true" democracy is all about?

are all who pretend to yell for democracy but they are the very people here who have made Democracy "cheap"!

Democracy come with "responsibility" and "respect" to others rights within the society. You all are nothing but bunch of bullies so scared of a few posts that you have no stomach to bear. It is easy to conclude that your implying message must be quite weak, otherwise you would not fear any post so much that force you to spam it. It is fair to say that with Democrates like you Iran does not need any other dictators.

Pehaps, it is becasue of people like you that Iranians think the current regime is a safer bet!

The true Green members should also get involved in this discussion to distance themselves from the characters named above who are speaking as Green spokesmen (so they claim). This is necessary since they give a bad image to the Green movement in the eyes of readers here and thus cheapen the Green cause.

Farhad Kashani

Its really moronic, and

by Farhad Kashani on

Its really moronic, and really childish way of thinking, to come out and say something so dumb as “since Israel have it, I want one too”! I mean if this does not show the level of irresponsibility that this Mullah regime and its thugs have, I don’t what does! That’s by the way, not even getting into the discussion of the fact that Mr. AN is pretty much giving it away that his regime is seeking nukes, but that’s another story. Anyone who think IRI is not seeking nukes, has some issues to deal with.

And its also hypocritical to blame “Zionsit propaganda” by supporters of a regime that has the strongest propaganda campaign in the world and if it wasn’t for its propaganda, including bashing Israel to gain support and establish muscles around the Middle East so it can spread its fundamentalist agenda, it could not have survived 1 day; and its propaganda contributes to the misery of your own brothers and sisters in Iran every second of every day.

IRI started the animosity with Israel and now Israel is defending itself against IRIs aggression, IRI is blaming Israel for defending itself! Its crying saying Israel wants to get me! This is how this thuggish, goonish and inhumane mentality is threatening civilization as we know it. This is why its important to know that IRI is not only savagely and brutally oppressing Iran and Iranians, but it’s a nightmarish threat to the entire world.

You say: Besides I never saw any of you gentleman object to so many hateful news items that demonizes Iranians as a whole and propagates either air tight sanction or bombing of Iranian soil on hourly basis.

khob koori digeh cheh konim?

Now, stop being a foolish gendarm, even you're a self-proclaimed capt'ne and go play back in your sandbox.

Mr. Payam

by capt_ayhab on

As I explained very clearly to Gender Unknown, this has nothing to do with what we believe in, EXCEPT freedom of speech.

We can get engaged on that issue if you wish, but unlike many here I am not here to judge the people behind posting, rather the ideologies. So if any of us claim to be the children of the democracy we yearn, then the first and the foremost RIGHT we have to observe is the freedom of speech.

Besides I never saw any of you gentleman object to so many hateful news items that demonizes Iranians as a whole and propagates either air tight sanction or bombing of Iranian soil on hourly basis.

this kind of selective objection has a name doesn't it?

Mr. Mardom Mazloom [no offense] again, originality counts sir.

Shah gholi is a well known character here.

by پیام on

His contributions consist of empathy towards AN and geda ali for their services to Iranians and human kind.

As for the news item, as far as it has any content, nothing news under the sun. Israel and i.r in cat and mouse fight. Who believes this crap anyway.

Mardom Mazloom

That's your opinion

by Mardom Mazloom on

#1. So hang on it. I don't share your point of view as I find that we are sufficiently under pressure with IRI that we don't have the luxury to let their propaganda be repeated yet on this site.

#2. That was not a simple copy/past as I swapped between Mrs. and Ms.

#1 no copy cat.

#2 However you find Mr. Shah Gholam's contributions is no concern of mine  you are entitled to it. What concerns me is any attempt to silence anyone, whether we like what he/she has to say or not.

As I said, there are variety of options. One being to NOT to read what the gentleman has to say, which in this case is none other that news item.

No I don't think so. I rather find Shah Ghollam the echo of FalseNews and Keyhan on this site which is a bit irritating.

Rather than trying to shoot the messenger, you might want to chose not to read the NEWS item.

Not that I agree with Mr. Shah Gholams all political views, but attempting to censor a contributor is kind of UNdemocratic.

Do you not think so?
