Balochi what?

Balochi what?

As my trips to Iran and Zahedan("doozdab") increased, so did my will to get to keep my roots stronger. Coming back home from the trips, I realized how unusual it really was to stay connected to the balochi culture or identity. Sure, Pakistani Balochis has a lot of sites etc but not much about Iranian Balochs. I wonder why. Especially the Iranian Balochi girls, that were never mentioned or participated at any site at all....

So after wasting a lot of time googling "balochi clothes", "balochi people zahedan" (without any results), I decided to create my own blog. I knew that young people in my age, living outside Iran and Balochistan lacked a place to get info about the latest balochi music, clothes or the changes that are faced.

The balochi dress with its unique embroidment is not getting the attention that it deserves, nor the does the Iranian balochs.  It is sad. But I hope that I, with a little effort or time, can make someone out there happy and excited.

i wanted to ask something. if you people dont mind my asking. i am a non-baluch person. i was deeply madly in love with a baluch girl. she loved me back. but her parents rejected the proposal cuz i wasnt baluch and upto their "standard". is it a crime not to be baluch? now my life is ruined. habits completely changed. dont go out much with frnds. dont do much either. possibly planning to kill myself cuz i cant stop thinking about her, cant even sleep either.

Thank you for writing about a very important issue.  So much in the rich region of Sistan and Balouchestan is unknown to others.  The best ambassadors for Balouchestan are people who have roots there and can bridge the gap.  I am glad you are taking your roots and your heritage seriously.

Last year I found an interesting slideshow on Jadid Online about Balouchi "Souzani doozi" and a remarkable woman named Mahtab in the Ghassem Abad village.  Below is the link.  Take a look.  Maybe you can help her.  Her works are masterpieces.
