Hi everyone, I went back home and it felt bittersweet....

I do not know where to begin. I do not know what to say but the fact that among many places I had visited within last several months one was Iran. Yes, Iran. After soooo many years finally I made two relatively close trips to Iran. I went back home and it felt bittersweet. It was amazing and at the same time very much depressing. I have chosen a few taken pictures of mine from Tehran, among those a picture of an innocent girl who was wondering in the street of Tehran in the coldest autumn day. A sweet kid whose begging eyes are still-hunting me.

I have also chosen a song that truly has a deep meaning, something that I heard for the first time ever on my way to the airport leaving Tehran. I could not help it but to ask the cab driver about the song and the singer. He just so kindly gave me the entire CD. Where else but in Iran can one find such a generous people?

I have much more to say but for now let this beautiful song and my pictures do the talking …

What a Nice little poem ...   talking about Paris reminded me of a poem from someone I know and it goes like this

"Do you mind if we do not go to the Louvre

If we say sod off to sodding Notre Dame,

If we skip the Champs Elysées
And remain here in this sleazy

Old hotel room
Doing this and that
To what and whom
Learning who you are,
Learning what I am.

Don't talk to me of love. Let's talk of Paris,
The little bit of Paris in our view.
There's that crack across the ceiling
And the hotel walls are peeling

And I'm in Paris with you. "

and yes i visted Shah's grave .. whenever I get a chance I am going to write about my trip to Eygpt as well.     It was wonderful . Eygpt is one of the  MUST see places on earth ....  I recommand it to everyone .

For a beautiful montage.  Liked the song too (though I was a bit dubious at the start).  It's always nice to read people's reactions after not going back for a long time...

The place (IC) at times feels like lunatic asylum! :-) But it is alright otherwise!

You missed the "breast gate"! I had to single handedly push back the unruly crowd and try to bring some sense to the discussion :-) The enthusiasm of the crowd here was as intense as the scorn shown by "some" back home!

Thanks for bringing back a piece of Tehran!

velkomz back!

Azzz ve say een eeran: u came all de vey here and did not come one tip of a foot to my peleyce? I am catching my tommy ferom you!! LOL

anywaysss... Not your fault. i am not holding it against ya. you did not have any clue i was there and i should have told you. Next time hopefully.

Faramarz:

They, the people i mean, not only like it, but specially the young ones Live it, Breathe it, Dream of it, And frankly keep a copy of it right next to their beds.

In fact some even use it as a temporary fix/cure to the rising gold and dollar prices situation. One look at that chart...heart rate goes up...then one look at the photo...Ahhh... It is not all that bad:)))

I can't understand what all the fuss is about?  After all it is just a breast ...  ; )

Besides People in Iran were so worred about the dollar and gold values that they did not even notice she was posing naked?
