All Iranians, I am with you

I am not sure how many Chinese are roaming at this site as I am and I hope many of you don’t mind so.

Yes, I am a Chinese but truly a Persian lover. I am very much found of her elegant history, profound culture, fine art, delicate cuisine, dulcet language, beautiful scenes and lovely people.

I was like most of non-Iranians believing Iran was the core of evil and Iranians were all terrorist. This image was led by the western media as there was no other access to get to know Iran till I met Vahid. Though this relationship was gone, but it hasn’t declined any of my admiration to Iran and other association.

I have been trying my best to reverse the wrong images people are having toward Iran and Iranians here.

Many of Iranians who are either in Iran or outside Iran having been working hard to preserve those old good one and reform the bad one. I just want to let all the Iranians know, I AM WITH YOU!!!

I want to dedicate this article to all my Iranian friends, especially wonderful Javad Mousavi and his pretty wife, Azadeh.

FINALLY

by Mahbod (not verified) on

Finally, I am getting somewhere. No; you are not late. For this issue my patient has not ceiling. Before everything, I would like thank you for your reply.
My requirement is a little too “picky”. I have over 1 hour slide show and I am looking for suitable Chinese music for those pictures.
I absolutely, do not want anything but Chinese instrument and Chinese melody. With all the respects for any old, new or modern Chinese musicians, but not looking for western music, played by Chinese group.
Didn’t I say I am picky?
I have more to say / request.
I truly appreciate for any help you may offer me:
funbag1991@yahoo.com
Regards
P.S.
I have spend over $200.00 on musical CD, but not found what I want, yet. Not even, close.

just a comment

It is really overwhelming to see how people responded to your comments Nisa, of course I do love China because of its many unique place in the far East culture, I really wish to see a very broad exchange of tourists between our two great nations,
I know at least in Iran there is no governmental encouragement for such interactions, our government is well in a wrong direction and dreams, it is bad in some sense but in the other way we can feel more responsible and be in charge of dialogue via web and hopefully recoup their ignorance, at the end of the day we are the elements for communication, hope in this way we reach to a better undersatnding of our world, thanks for your nice comments about our motherland Iran,

Re:Hi The whole bit about it

by smilebutterfly30 on

Well, I have to say it was my first time has such comment from an Iranian which is very different from what I was used to. I don’t think it is proper for me to publish any opinions or thoughts or information here any longer as I am an non-Iranian even no matter how much I respect Iranian. Keep saying something else might cause other negative comments, so I better stay silent. Have good time!

Re:Hi smilebutterfly30, I have

I don’t do Tai-Chi myself but also be into I-Ching. But it is a fact that there is so much deep knowledge behind them.

There are many sects being handed down from ancient such as Mozi,Confucius etc. We can’t really say what is right and wrong and what is good or bad. It all depends on the individual thought. There are many good characteristics in sect Lao-Tze. However, the living reality is what we also need to consider as when it comes to the present, it will be getting difficult than when it was created. I am a Taiwanese but Chinese in blood. I am living in the totally different system though go to China very often and was working there for a year. China is getting Capitalism at the moment but still the elements of Socialism are everywhere. What could they do? They got 14 hundred millions mouths to feed. Civilians opinions are not opinions; government doing what they do without listening to people; the freedom of speech are still somehow constricted; human rights are not properly treated. Since China government itself doesn’t even care about the human rights back home, do you anticipate them caring about the human rights outside? My opinion is, China now seems to choose to stand with Iran for the oil supply and also to let America know that NEVER under estimate as they are not tame at all.

by khodemun1 (not verified) on

For example:

- What languges are easy and hard for Chinese people to learn?

- What do you think about non Chinese people that adopt Chinese kids and remove them from their home land? Is this even a hot subject in China?

- Do you have gays in China? Apparantly in Iran, we don't.

Hi The whole bit about it

by khodemun1 (not verified) on

Hi

The whole bit about it would be nice if it was just us is like this. I think that as iranians, we need forums to discuss our ideas and thoughts and jokes and all that amongst ourselves and in anonymity. It's very liberating. Looking at some of the threads on this site is proof of this. Iranian.com used to be known only among certain iranians. It was not what it has become today. Obviously, the success is great. But it's a double edged sword because with its success comes other things. The site is now full of pretend intellectuals and many foreigners.

I have nothing against non Iranians. From Chinese to whatever. However, I think that we need a place for ourselves. Since you are a minority and not American per say, maybe you can relate.

Obviously, people around the world can contribute to every imagineable subject because we all come from various back grounds. So what? Some times, it's better when it's just us.

This is not my site and I can't run it as I please. So don't feel unwelcome because my personal opinion is in the minority and I am not unwelcoming you. I would just prefer to welcome more Iranians.

But like I said before, since you are here, please contribute on a regular basis with articles and blogs. The most annoying thing is to have foreigners who contribute nothing but comments on threads.

You should write about Chinese. Things. This is not meant as a rasict remark. But yesterday, a friend of mine was complaining about how Chinese people at her high tech work place seem harmless but are willing to stab you in the back to get up. How they can't speak english to save their life bla bla bla. I am not going to put the entire conversation here. But I saw it as jealousy on his part because all these other people are advancing in their careers and he is lazy and staying behind an blaming it on nationality. So if you are here, you might as well contribute so we get to know your culture better.

Hi smilebutterfly30, I have been doing Tai-Chi for 20 years, as an Astrologer know I-Ching and your calendar very well.
.
What do you thing Lao-Tze would say about the cheap oil China buys to fuel the factories the prisoners run to make things for Wal-Mart?
.
Why does China turn a blind eye on Human Rights in Iran, Sudan, Zimbabwe for cheap resources?
.
Please excuse me for bringing these sore points up, but the Seyyeds rely on the Chinese for their ambivalence over the nuclear story.

I would be more than happy to be your 1st Chinese friend if you don't mind.

Though there is "man" in your name which might lead people think it is a man's name, but if I converted it into Chinese, it is so beautiful.

Thank you for another compliment to Chinese. Nowadays, Chinese is having the same thoughts about Iranian. What you have brought up about the association about IRAN and CHINA was so true. I would love to see the relation is getting closer in the future.

I was thinking what you meant by “But again, it would be nice if it was just us.” This made me feel unwelcoming here

:(

As I told Jahanshah Javid, I do feel hesitating to writing something about China and Chinese as this is a site which bundling with all Iranian elements even though I am more than happy to share all with all the readers here with no preservation. Maybe I can begin from something which is Chinese & Iranian associated.

I have been sharing my points and knowledge about IRAN and IRANIANS in a CHINESE website and I am happy to let you know that since then, I have got to see many people begin to reserve their negative images.

As a members of BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, and China), so called the new blooming generation of economic matrix, China is playing an significant role nowadays. So many non-Chinese speakers are learning Chinese now as I am also teaching few. To my opinion, Chinese is not only a language which is beneficial to career development but also a very interesting one with a lot of knowledge behind it. (Not easy though, I have to tell)

Dear smilebutterfly 30,

I'd personally love to hear yor views and thoughts.
I don't have any Chinese friends so I really don't know your culture and true way of life, although I've read up on it a little - but that's not the same thing at all!
That's probably like listening to the news and trying to find out about Iran!?!
Please stop by.

Chinese people are nice and

by Nisa Iranian Friend (not verified) on

Chinese people are nice and china is a great country.
I have many Chinese friends and I love all of them , some times people tell me they are not good people but you should know their culture and their way of thinking first.
I love China and I feel China is my second country, China has a long history (same as Iran) and deep culture , you should travel there several times to feel it , Chinese people are really trusty, when you find a Chinese friend you are sure that He/She will stay beside of you for all the life.
during our history China was our neighbor for more than 2400 years but they never attacked us there was always peace between Iran and China and Iranians were known as good businessmen in old China , when Iranian had problems they was going to China to be safe there , people as Princes also Mani's students (Iranian profit), so Long live Iran , and long live China.

I think only Americans or British or white people who tend to be the most condescending on this site should be band. Chinese are ok. But again, it would be nice if it was just us. He is right, please contribute with more blogs and articles about things you think we may want to or should know about your culture or yourself. If you guys are on this site, you might as well talk.

Jahanshah Javid

Looking East

by Jahanshah Javid on

Well maybe in exchange for what you learn about Iran and Iranians and this site, you could tell us a few things about China and being Chinese.
In recent years I have heard several Iranians joking about the need to learn Chinese: The American Empire is declining and China (by all accounts) is surging.
Iranians don't know much (almost nothing) about China and its people. For the past few centuries we have looked West. It's time to look East.
