Abdulmalik Rigi’s “Capture” and Its Implications for Iranian Opposition Abroad

On Tuesday February 23rd 201 Islamic Regime security forces “captured” Abdulmalik Rigi, the 27 year old leader of the armed Balouchi/Iranian opposition group Jundullah.

Jundullah is also known as People’s Resistance Movement of Iran and is a Sunni, Balouchi group that carries out armed operations against the Islamic Regime.

There have been numerous and contradictory accounts of how Mr. Rigi was “captured.” Regime’s English language network Press TV reported that he was “arrested” in one of Iran’s southern ports when his jet was “forced” to land while taking him from Kyragyzstan to Dubai.

Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Agency however reported that he had been “captured” abroad and brought to Iran. Despite different reports one thing is for certain, Mr. Rigi was not simply apprehended, he was kidnapped and brought to Iran.

on their website Jundullah has claimed that the United States through a “backroom” deal helped the Regime in the capture of Mr. Rigi. There have been other speculations about the involvement of Pakistan and their help in the “capture” of Mr. Rigi.

While many Iranian opposition may not agree with Mr. Rigi’s political convictions, silence in the face of this international kidnapping may have very negative implications for Iranian opposition abroad.

If today we remain silent in the face of this international kidnapping and allow the Islamic Regime and any other country that through “backroom” deals may have helped in the capture of Mr. Rigi we risk facing similar situations with other opposition leaders and activists in the near future.

Today we must not remain silent, we must voice our concerns loud and clear. We must ask how and why Mr. Rigi was captured. We must inquire into which other countries may have been involved in the capture of Mr. Rigi in an attempt to help the Regime to meet their end of a “backroom” deal. There is no doubt that if the United States was involved in any way in the capture of Mr. Rigi, that means all opposition may be in danger regardless of where they may be.

Today Mr. Rigi was kidnapped, tomorrow they might come for the communists, then for the monarchists and then for me and you.

"First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak out for me."

"Author:

......communist"

Ok thanks for quoting one of the most well known "phrase/stories" as if we didn't know.."

Second, Is this girl sane?  I strongly suspect that she is a member of Munafegheen Khalq Organization...

Remember, those MKOs.  Back in the day, they would have a solicitor in Reagan International Airport begging for money, until the United States told them to "get lost, useless terrorists."

Now the Question is Why would author stand for RIgi:  Is she:

a. member of MKO, thought that refugee status in Zimbabwe would save her from IRI

b.she found Rigi to be cute, her type of guy, the one she always liked but never asked her out

c. she is off of her medications for whatever

d. she has had to stoop to the lowest level and defend a terrorist and killer of innocent Iranian Baluchis because she hasn't experienced love in a family with a husband of hers nor any children.  Hence she doesn't know how much a mother normally  misses a kid when they go to nursery, so it is very easy for her  to overlook Baluchi family's permanent loss of their kids in a terrorist action

e. she hated Rigi's sister in law, who was shot dead upon orders from Rigi by his brother

f. she has lived a very sheltered life, from school to college, from college to academia.  Never really had to "step-out" and face the real world.  Always living on theories and never in practical world.

The Best way for author to gain sympathy for her cause:

a. do as her comrades did in Europe,  Shout " YA MARYAM" and put themselves on Fire.  Tip: kerosene outlasts gasoline.  ....dra da gasolina,,,dra da gasoooolina.  IF using gasoline, please make a YouTUbe video along with the "gasolina" soundtrack

b. walk naked in Central Park NYC, with weird statments written on her body as a sign of protest and declare it as art

I have always said opposition Iranian style is the best kind of opposition any regime wishes for. Self-discreditting, and full of "lengesh kon."

It sez a lot about them when:

Capturing a terrorist raises their fury
Advancement in the nuclear field is a no no
Cloning technology raises their concern
When developement of nano-technology is a thorn in their eyes
When whatever built or developed in Iran is belittled

Let them be. They are nothing but yellow half dried leaves klinging hard to a tree thinking they are still contributing to the liveliness of the tree.

you are trying to exploit 'terrorism' then twisting it with your opinion of the US fighting terrorism.I know the topic is getting too confusing and political for a jarhead, and you're now getting paranoid.

It seems to me you are the one here with a problem with opposing views. And believe me I've a right to say,I'm often impartial to their view's as well.

But the Genius of the people who live inside Iran you talk about must not include any of the Green's.I guess all those Genius's disappeered after bahman 22 for you? Are they all in Jail now? Tortured? Rotting in a prision? They are NOT Iranian's?

There must be something very potent on the heel of that boot you have been licking.

Just ask your Uncle Sam

by MeyBokhor_Manbarbesuzan on

Kidnapping people abroad, be them terrorists or not, is not new. In this field, Iran is taking the same approach as that of Uncle Sam and Aunty Mossad -- the latter actually kills them half the time.

Oh my, oh my!

by IranMilitaryForum.net on

Even thugs on the streets do not attack one like the freedom and Democracy loving, totally "passionate" so called Iranians do here because one has a different opinion!

Reading post after posts by these street gangs is that not only they do not disapprove terrorism but whole heatedly accept it as a means for their ends. They are openly supporting Rigi's group!

If you loosen these terrorist lovers to take over Iran, they will create hundreds of groups such as Jundollah to kill and maim innocent across Iran under the freedom and Democracy banner (much like wht happened after US invasion of Iraq). No wonder on Bahman 22, most Iranians in Iran totally flushed them as foreign agents who mostly sleep with MKOs, terrorists, Shahis, Israelis or anyone who would use and abuse them as tools for their own anti Iranian agenda!

Having that said, I personally do not believe most of this gangsters are Iranian at all to begin with. The rest are naive mules that go along with the crowd.

That is because no true Iranian would support terrorist Rigi and his group, no true Iranian would support foreign agendas against Iran, no true Iranian would get depressed by Iranian progress in scientific and engineering fields, no true Iranian calling himself/herself a freedom and democracy activist for Iran would suppress any other voice but his own!

IRI is not perfect by any means as a political system, however, if the alternative is characters that appear here as opposition, Iranians will again take their chances with what they know than those stinky groups that can be smelled from afar, long before they even get to Iran. That is the genius of Iranian people who live in side Iran.

Sargord, you have dealt with this pack of wolves very well on your own, congratulations.

by coming to this website (Hint: it's name is IRANIAN.COM) and defending the most anti Iran forces on this planet, one which rapes, murders, tortures, imprisons without trial, suffocates, silences, and brutalizes innocent Iranians.  All with your wholehearted approval.

Whether or not you are Iranian, when you come here and support fascism, do not expect any different.

Not that other websites accept you any better.  Your propaganda reeks and people not only see right through it, they are disgusted (myself included).

As far as accuracy is concerned, you follow anything but that.  Your characterizations of night as day and vice and versa are numerous and ubiquitous.

In the meantime, if you can take one fact I have mentioned in any of my posts and demonstrate that it is wrong, I will welcome that and gladly stand corrected, having learned something.  But that is not something you do.  Ever.

AMIR1973

The topic, Mark Pirooz, is your third-rate IRI cyber propaganda

by AMIR1973 on

Speaking for myself, the personal details of your pathetic existence are a matter of no consequence to me. What does matter is that you are a regular regurgitator of propaganda on behalf of the most violent and repressive regime that Iran has seen in many, many years. And you do this all from the very long distance of Ohio, since IRI cyber groupies cannot possibly be bothered to live in the Islamist paradise. In other words, you are a thoroughly loathsome creature. Fortunately, unlike the Rapist Regime that you shill for, there is freedom of speech and press in the U.S., even for IRI cyber groupies like yourself. Needless to say, the garbage IRI would never in a million years allow such Iranians to enjoy such essential rights. You exercise your right to free expression in order to vomit up propaganda on behalf of a regime that does not recognize the right of free expression (or other basic human rights). Your brain may or may not grasp that irony.

mahmoudg

the regime itself is a terrorist

by mahmoudg on

How ironic, that one terrorist abducts another.  The way I see it, Rigi was ridding the world from leeches such as Mullahs and the IRGC commanders.  I have written about this in the past.  Any IRGC commander who is taken down is one less terrorist around.  so that is a good thing.  As for Rigi; he is a Sunni who hates Shiites.  The way I see it, let the Sunni's and shiites take care fo each other.  The future of Iran should have no place for shiites or Sunnis, ruling it.  It should be ruled by ALL equally and Shiites and Sunnis will just be another group among the many.  But most agree with me that Islam's existence in the future of Iran looks very bleak.

by Sargord Pirouz on

Fair, I'm actually amused by some of your commentary, as well.

You're one of my detractors that at least half of your arguments aren't personal attacks. But hey, the other half are, which only serves to discredit everything else you say, unfortunately.

One would think that ascertaining accurate details of a topic would be of a premium. But not here! It's all about name calling, personal attacks, personal accusations, etc.

Which is too bad.

Again, it's really sad to see so many people so virulently disconnected with the Meehan. That's all it is- sad.

Sargord Pirouz

(lol)

by Sargord Pirouz on

Vilde, I'm not half-Korean (laughing). Not that there's anything wrong with being Korean. One of my old friends is actually half-Korean.

Now I know I've generated interest here as to details of my citizenship, heritage and occupation. I've actually been forthcoming with such details on other sites. In fact, you might say I've been overly confessional.

But here at IC, this is a bruising forum. So I've generally tried to stick to topics at hand, with certain exceptions.

On a previous thread I've provided the following, so I'll recap:

I'm an Iranian citizen, inherited from my Iranian father. I've lived and studied in Tehran. My grandfather was a Minister in Reza Shah's government. He was also a former president of the University of Tehran (big hint). There is a school named after him in Tehran (another big hint). My grandmother was from Tabriz. My great-grandfather held various Minister positions also, including president/speaker of the Majlis. After retiring from government, he served as personal tutor to Prince Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. One of my uncles was a famous Iranian physicist.

These are huge hints. There are other notable figures and details to my family, but these should do. As some of you have obviously devoted a great deal of time trying to track down info about me, this should serve you well.

Now my mother's side of the family isn't relevant to iranian.com. All I'll say about them is this side of my family is comprised of decorated soldiers, marines, sailors and horsemen.

So there you have it. Back to the topic at hand?

His grandfather's last name

by Fair on

was Garcia.  That is right- Sargeant Garcia from Zorro!

It is very amusing to see how many websites this character makes a fool of himself on. I must say, it is very rewarding to see such a widespread rejection worldwide of such blatant regime propaganda.

Now, regarding the "F-4E strike fighters of the 91st TFS".  You know, if you are a jet fighter (even a 40 year old one that barely flies) and you cannot challenge a 737, something is very wrong.  So the "great operation" is really nothing to be proud of.

But I guess that is no surprise coming from a guy who is proud of fully armored ruthless regime terrorists beating the cr*p out of defenseless harmless peaceful Iranian boys and girls, and calling that "law enforcement":

You must be kidding. What

by Sargord Pirouz on

You must be kidding. What about the innocent victims of this man's organization at the Zaheden mosque bombing? Take a good look at some of his crimes (scroll down):

//www.irandefence.net/showthread.php?t=56306&page=6

You would defend these atrocities against ordinary Iranian citizens?

BTW: There are witnesses from Kyrgyzstan Airlines flight QH 454 that witnessed Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force F-4E Phantom II strike fighters forcing the B-737 passenger plane to land at Bandar Abbas, and VEVAK commandos storming the plane to capture this terrorist.

And Rigi is 31, not 27.

So I suggest you get your facts straight, in your criminal support of international terrorism directed against the people of Iran.
