Immersed in one of my wondrous moments of adding one more super-charged dose of caffeine to my bloodstream, I asked myself "how come the President of the United States of America can pardon a turkey without the fear of being labled as an anti-thanksgiving entity....and how many more centuries should pass before a lucky lamb to be pardoned by a Muslim ruler?"................and then poured myself another cup......

Happy Eid al-Adha, nevertheless...........

I guess there may be hope for you after all.  The garbage of Judaism, Christianity and Islam is just revolting.  What kind of God is it that demands the blood of innocent animals as a show of thanks?  Why not just a prayer?  This violent and intolerant philosophy was invented by the Jews and mindlessly carried over into Christianity and Islam.  Absolutely sickening.

Institutionalized violance!

Indeed, story of Abraham was adopted from Judaism by Islam. The major difference is that Moslims (and Jews to some degree) still insist on the literal interpretation of violent teachings, while Christians (and some Westernized Jews) have abondoned the traditional and primitive use of violence in favour of modern and more sophisticated means, e.g. GWB and exporting democracy (hence the gambit of changing the title of OEF from the original biblical 'Operation Infinite Justice')!

(by GOD). allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are
steadfast.' 'And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead,' 'We called out to him "o abraham!' 'You have confirmed your vision. ' as such we recompense the gooddoers.' For this was obviously a trial-' and we ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: And we left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: "peace and salutation (SALAAM) to abraham!" (Ghoron 37:102-109)

A self defence is not a mental defence. You only kill OTHERS if they try to kill YOU. Ibrahim would have followed such if he had been ordained by his creator. There is a lot more to learn about Ibrahim from whether on 21 century or 210 century!

Ibrahim attempted to sacrifice his beloved son for GOD.

That does not impress me.

I may be a Westernized, 21st century skeptic, but anyone who attempts to kill his son, for his GOD, belongs to a mental institution.

Why are some Moslems always killing OTHERS for GOD?

Why didn't Ibrahim attempt to kill HIMSELF for his GOD?

And just letting you know that no Muslim leader could ever issue such a pardon ever, as sacrificing a lamb is the symbol of thanking GOD for not allowing Ibrahim to sacrifice his beloved son per what it had been ordained by GOD in his dream.

But one could ask "how come no Muslim leader??? dared asking the 3 millions or more Hajis pilgrims, after they had completed their pilgrimage, to 'at least' walk toward Baghdad 8 years ago to prove their unity with Iraqi Muslims when Iraq just had been occupied & people there were being killed/tortured for no reasons? And now those cowards so called 'leaders' are being removed one by one at the worst shape possible! Unlike Ibrahim, no Muslim leader of our times passed his test! Or did he!?

There is a GOD out there after all who hears the 'innocent' cries, created the whole world, & manages the pepole affairs his own way! Salaam to you all on this special occasion.
