It must be the yellow gradient that is creating the optical illusion.

af, yep, that was the idea. i think this mishearlyricsguy is an unsung genius. we mut sing him. search him on yourube, i'm going to.. i'm ure he has tons of stuff. as for changing the avatar, no not yet but i will definitely try it. i'm a bit technically challenged but i really want to improve because i always wanted to be a filmmaker and now that is accessible to everyone. i would like to make youtube videos and i think being able to convert an image into jpeg would be a FINE start.

i hate to admit it

the set-up for the punch line was perfect! Oh and btw, I noticed that the wiki article on Dobbs is marked controversial due to differing points of view. Perhaps you might consider registering with them and participating in the debate. They do have debates behind the scenes, you know, and getting a wiki article on Lou Dobbs up to snuff would probably be far more valuable than anything one could ever possibly accomplish here...

i didn't see this and posted a comment on the other blog.  if you still need to convert the file, you can try this.

open the .gif file in the program called "paint".  then go to "save as" and rename the file to something else.  the "save as type" should be highlighted and you can change to .jpg

hope it works!

there might be an easier way but that's what i've always done.

oh... btw.  this is way cool.  but it is bright...lol.  let's see what it does as an avatar though.

Do you remember Lynne Russell from CNN back in 80s and 90s? The picture below is a newer picture of her but she is the one who took us through the first Gulf war;

I remember an article from a Washington Post editor many years ago who on the occasion of Lynne leaving CNN wrote with regret that he will no longer be able to watch her on the tube.

He went on to say that we don't know who she is or even how tall she is, all we know is that we are used to her smiles and her telling us the news in terms we can enjoy and so on.

I think at the time there was a discussion that Lynne was leaving due to contract dispute or something. He went on to remind CNN that earlier they had let go of Lou Dobbs only to bring him back with their heads down and their tails between their legs and ashamed and disappointed in themwelves!

He went on to remind them that Lou was a good and normal Business reporter not as annoying as he is today. Other networks had jumped on the bandwagon and quickly filled the business news vaccum that was vacated by Lou Dobbs who had that post since the beginning of CNN.

So in an effort to appeal to CNN's power to be he asked them desparately that "for the love of Lou Dobbs" please keep Lynne at all costs!

I have no idea what ink they used and I certainly didn't

do anything except save it off of google and then upload it from the browser for the top of this blog What I wanna know is does sanyone ELSE see it as my actual avatar because I DON'T.

I would like to upload it for the avatar and if it's too bright use an alternate one I found. But when it wouldn't upload I wrote Foaad and he told me I should convert it to a jpeg file and I said I'm sorry I'm so stupid but how do I do that and he never answered me, I think he's boycotting me. LOL

ps no he just wrote back that to do that i need software i don't have.
