On this video/blog I will: skateboard off a ramp,do a manual,ride down a hill,do a revert,and jump off a tiny tunnel.

CAMERA POSITIONS:

from 00:07 to 00:11 I carried the camera myself

from 00:00 to 00:06 I put it on a trash can

from 00:12 to 00:25 I put it on a trash can too

from 00:26 to 00:32 I put it on a tree

from 00:33 to 00:39 I put it on a bench

board and review

by Anonymous-skateboarder (not verified) on

What kind of board do you have?
BTW, I think that it was not good. Next time you go off a ramp or a ledge, actually do an ollie. Also, that was not a manual, you just lifted your board up for a second. And you didn't go off the ramp. You just rolled up it and fell off your board. That was pathetic. And last, don't be so cocky!

thanks for mentioning the safety pads, as a matter of fact he did get a pretty good swipe on his elbow.

Robert,

I am proud of you taking up skating. Please wear your helmet and pads!

I was a hardcore skateboarder in the 70's, and I have the scar's to prove it. Keep practicing, and find some friends that like to skateboard.

Good luck,

Ali

You are getting there but don't forget your knee & elbow pad .Safety is the 1st rule of any stunt .take it from me who fell down a cliffe wall and lucky for me had pads & helmet to protect me otherwise I wouldn,t be in a good shape for a long time .

Cheers!!!

Don't forget you're filming

Don't forget you're filming it all too.  Great job Robert!  You're turning in to  quite a little shredder.  I do think you should ask your uncle JJ to build you a few  things.  Have him build you a mini ramp, a manual pad and a flat bar.  If he says no, just push out your bottom lip and give him some puppy dog eyes.  I'll bet he'll do it.  Here's some food for thought and or inspiration.

Thanks so much for the details. It's amazing, because I thought someone else was there helping you by holding the camera! So, it was a one man show all the way through?! I am really impressed! I do think skateboarding and trying to film it at the same time might have been a bit dangerous first to yourself and next to your equipment. Maybe when you are a professional, you could consider some special gear which lets you secure the camera on yourself without having to use your hands. Good going Robert, The Complete One Man Show!

O.K. So I have had a chance to see your clip now. This was great. I think you needed a bit more speed to gather the momentum for jumping over that ramp.

The combination of video, your spoken words, and the overlaying text is excellent in helping the viewer know what is going on in your short film. Very good. Did you carry the camera from 00:07 to 00:11 yourself? That was interesting.

I loved the peaceful scenery of your neighborhood. Cool!

P.S. How did you like the movie?
