Survey on the use of Iranian flag

With growing and sustained number of Iranian cultural and community events outside Iran and as typified by those in the U.S., there has emerged a cordially meaningful debate among Iranians in Diaspora as to the appropriate adoption of a national symbolic flag of Iran for such events. Recent articles on the topic of Flag confirm that most Iranians abroad still feel passionately about their country of origin, their culture, and about one flag or another.

Besides, there exists pros/cons on the use of the term Iranian vs. Persian for such organizations or events. Therefore, this independent survey intends to poll the Iranian-Americans in particular, and determine which flag and what nationality terminology the majority of Iranians prefer. Please answer and submit the survey on line, and forward this survey to others for full grassroots participation.

Can we first concentrate on bringing democracy and freedom to Iran and that will get sort it out easily.  But just in case I had missed the news and Iran has become free and just waiting to pick a flag, I will vote for a simple Red/White/Green with the words "don't take this for granted" in the middle of it.

I guess it is obvious from my avatar where I stand in regards to the use of any emblem in our  flag.

Let's all participate in this  survey. The least it achieves is to understand how the Majority of Iranians abroad feel about this issue.

for the Lion and Sun flag (Shiro or khorshid)  to be restored in place of IRR rag with chesapeake bay crab in the middle. After that you can start discussion  to see if some thing more worthy should replace Iranian nation.

It's just a flag. What matters are the living conditions, civil rights, and basic human rights. These are lacking. No more puppets and dictators. That's what should matter in any country, especially Iran. No more operation ajaxes and religiously minded laws.
