A blank piece of paper

Is my latest poem,

And it is all about her.

I was inspired by her black eyes….and the night ahead

…I was inspired by ‘Khayyam’.

I picked the best words from the ‘comprehensive dictionary of sorrow’

They rhyme smoothly with my heartbeat…

I went through it forty four times; though the theme had been vanished…

I kneeled, and I submitted it to her.

Do you dare to know what she did in response?

She did nothing!

She wasn’t there!

I’m still kneeled…and thrilled!

captivated by someone that is beyond one's grasp. So many emotions and thoughts rushing through and yet words would not be sufficient to express them to the object of one's desire.
