Hi! FF,

So sorry to hear the tragedies in your family and your wife's family. It was horrendous! I know nothing can erase the pain!! I pray that things will get better over there...

Happy New Year!

A question for you Ms. Marge Crush

You mention in your response that we don't matter.  We are spectators.  I beg to differ with your opinion.  You may not matter or you may not care if you matter or not.  But I do.  Here is why:

1) Because of the Islamic revolution, I have been forced to stay away from Iran. My wife is a Bahai.  After the revolution, my devout Muslim cousins informed various government agencies that I was a mortad because I had changed my religion from Islam to Bahai.  So, very conveniently any and all real estate that was under my name was confiscated and hayfo meyl by my cousins who like me come from a proud Muslim lineage.  All of this, while I have never ever officially or unofficially been a Bahai.  Just a lie by 3 people (devoute Muslim blood relatives) and my association with a Bahai wife removed all my rights as a citizen of Iran.  Not only I have been forced to stay out of Iran and not be able to visit family and friends, assets that belonged to me an my children were also stolen by my cousins and some connected SOB.

2) Because of the Islamic revolution, my father in law who I deeply respected and loved was killed; again, specifically due to his religion. Although he was also charged for being a spy for the Israeli government.

So, although I have not been to Iran for 30+ years, I feel that not only I am not an spectator, I am someone with very legitimate right to demand change in Iran and to have a say in what kind of change.

Were any of your relatives killed by the regime?  Did you lose everything your father and mother had worked for to leave for you?  I hope not.  But if you did, in my opinion, you also have a right.

Hi! MPD,

I watched France24 interview 2 days ago, RP said that he supports secular democracy, but on IC the people, who support RP, are labeled as monarchists. I am puzzled by the whole thing. I thought in Math that if A=B and B=C, then A=C. This formula does not work here, for some reason that A does not equal to C. Apparently if you support RP, you are not supporting secular democracy, you are supporting monarchy!

Thanks for your blog and your consistency! :O))

Happy New Year to you, too!

P.S. I support secular democracy and Iranian people's will. Please do not drag me into any debates on IC.
