Virtual Iranian.com tour to Iran

Commenting on the work of one of the great contributors of this website a funny thought occurd to me. Imagine we set up a tour of all Iranian.com contributors to Iran and we assign them some responsibilities along the way. Let your imagination loose and come up with something funny! But be courteous!

I recommended Fred to be the tour guide. As all of us sitting in the Iranian.com tour bus, he stands up and tells us what Islamic Rapist Republic did exactly what at what place, then he bends and asks the driver to stop so he can get Baaghaali from his favorite place in Sarcheshmeh...

DK notices the golden Aftabeh from the Golestan Palace's bathroom is missing and gives us a grief.

Monda, makes sure everyone is in line and behave well.

Azadeh, is sitting way back and think why the hell I am here with these morons!

Abarmard, is pulling down Capt Ayhab's shirt telling him, "sit I can't see"!

I leave the rest to you...

I love to hear your words about me.

Points well taken

Dear Anahid;

There was no need for apology. No biggie !. Just to add so to carry the point forward I assure you that my comment here was not "in spite" and by no way in defence of that "Waselin it" character. I merely wished to point out to you as not 2 be 2 sensitive since it will invite more venom from the insensitive and to raise your tolerance when in receiving end since everyone dish it out at times too :). I,m glad that in spite of my colorful antiques you took note of my intent and verified my items objectively. No further follow ups is necessary.

feed the hungry  ignore the angry   educate the idiot

Cheers & kind regards Madam!!!

before it's too late!

by Midwesty on

I would like to thank all of you for participating, my producer and director and Sony pictures....wait...sorry wrong note...darn...
Seriousely, the original idea came from Red Wine and Abarmard when they were envisioning to set up a tour bus then I took it from there. However, I'd like to thank one person especially and that's Mr.Kadivar who left the first comment. He got the idea behind this. The idea was not to take ourselves too seriousely. Life is too short and we are born just once. So I think this alone tells me we are to learn a great deal from this man.

Thank you DK, Red Wine, Abarmard
And
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU!

Now go on enjoy the scenary and your bastani!

Sorry for the commercial break!

Jaleho

hello Niloufar aziz,

by Jaleho on

I had seen your blog on the top list for a while, but needed a time to be able to read large number of comments. By the time I did, it was gone! But, I had to tell you that I really enjoyed reading it.

Yeah, aren't the funny crowd consistent at least :-)

Midwesty's blog was very clever, bringing clever and fun comments from so many like Kourosh, nofear, wastellit, Marjan and yourself.

See you around.

First of all what did you do to Little Tweety? Secondly, there won't be any breakfast. The driver is sleep deprived and can't see straight any more!

Anahid Hojjati

Dear SamSam, I remember the instance aboutt asking background

by Anahid Hojjati on

Dear SamSam, Again you are providing an example. Whle Ghormeh Chics comment was an example of personal attack, your comment seems to have good points which I need to go back to blogs yoi mentioned and my comments on them. Here your criticism of me is based on my previous comments that I made.Asfar as visiting this blog many times, reason was because of presence of users such as WasTellIt and their online behavior toward me. If you go back, youi see that after some morning coMments, for most of day, I did not have any comment. This was a good forum. Dear Sam, you above all should understand my sensitivity. Same person who sent e-mail to yuu had sent me harassing messages on facebook. He denies itbut in any case, there was someone who sent me 3 offensive messages on f!. So maybe that causes be to be more sensitive but believe me that there is cause for it. Meanwhile if I have been unfair to you in my previous comments, I apologize. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Fouzul Bashi

Jaleh Jan! Oh Joy ;)

Good to see you!  Missed you my good lady!  I am going to have a kip for a while, perhaps we can have breakfast at the next stop ;0)

You are a sensitive, smart and compassionate lady.  I think you misunderstood Rosie.  Read her comment on "Name one good thing that IRI....."  It is today's latest blog.

SamSamIIII

Dear Ms Hojjatie, "rottab" khordeh raa....

by SamSamIIII on

Dont take this the wrong way but I,m just gone  lay it out for you so you catch the breez & do to others as you wish to be done to you.

I have never had exchanges with you & never acknowledged you directly  by name or indirectly in 3rd person yet find it amazing that in atleast 5 or 6 different occasions starting with jj's donation blog you have made degrading & demeaning comments about my character. Ofcourse I never replied to those cyber "bursts" considering the grade 5 juvenile nature of the attacks.

In JJ's donation blog when I asked jj to provide a more secure private way of sending donations you went outta your way to insult me in 3 different comments on the same thread(obsession?:)) psycho analysing me as some pretentious patriot or waneh be true Iranian with loud mouth who is such coward who is afraid to expose his real name on a cheque with tons of insulting innuandos that followed. & as if it wasn,t enough you came back to ask Souri to join you in lynching me . All this in a blog not related either to you or me and without me addressing you in any shape & form.

In another blog(about moderation process) by a 3rd blogger again not being addressed or acknowledged by me you went on in detailes about my exchange with another blogger in another blog(unbelievable haa :)) to defame my character as a CIA intelligence bully & a hypocrite all because on an occasion i had asked the blogger to verify her cultural background to get a better handle of her taste for certain language.

& a few more but I,m afraid to go on will not serve my intent further than it needs be & what has been presented shall suffice.

Again, none of these personal attacks has been dealt in kind or responded by me & as per my own policy never flagged just so to show the clueless idiocy behind it. Now I dont know what this character wastellit said to you or about you that got you re-visit this blog 20 times but unlike you he atleast had the courtesy of acknoledging you when talking about you. Finally you sure have tried to make this blog about you.

So in essence it is you who is obsessed with you. & that is my take on the issue @ hand.

Cheers & wishing you health, moderation in judgment & consideration.

Again, I hold no grudges and mean no disrespect but merely pointing out the other side of a coin for a reminder that we should handle the punch in as we punch out ;).

I still say............

by capt_ayhab on

Who ever it is that flags the comments just because they hold certain grudge and animosity should not participate in an emotional and passionate forum like this.

I do not condone foul and belligerent tone nor do I t condone personal attacks. BUT if we can not distinguish between satire[like this particular thread] and much more serious stuff, perhaps we are not mature enough to handle such an open forum.

So please stop the paranoia and stop projecting your standards onto the  others for something that occurred few years ago, of which no one even cares to remember the detail. The details that is being brought up by the alleged victim over and over and over again.

Last thing we need is a word police who carries grudge for ions.

Anahid,

Why do you do that to my number of comments? For god sake I was up for 288 and now I am going to go back to what? 15?

Jaleho

Thanks Rosie, any time!

by Jaleho on

Just burn one of my hair when you miss me to this degree, and I'll come to rescue quickly! But, promise not to get hurt if I continue to ignore your comments which are more than one paragraph (one short paragraph) in length or are repetitious, 'k?

Anahid Hojjati

OK Dear Was Rosie, what should I call her?

by Anahid Hojjati on

Dear Rosie, have you lost any friends to IRI atrocities? Did you have your 18 year old friend and 16 year old who went to your school executed?

Have you had to burn, and tear hundreds of books?  Have you had to try hard so you could get out of that hell hole that was Iran in 1983?

Didyou have your role models buried in Kavaran? Did they put your favorite writer and translator in jail? Did they jail your family member after arresting him at front of his little kid?

Did they prevent your Bahai freind from going to university when she was a star student?

Did you live even for one day in an Iran that told mothers "tabreek and Tasliat" upon losing children in war?

List goes on and on.

Dear Rosie, If you had all these experiences or even couple of them, you would not be so friendly with Jaleho, No you would know better.

Midwesty

Jaleho,

by Midwesty on

What a delight, lady! Where have you been? Are you here to save our bus?

Well, it was a great journey that I was not expecting to be as delightful and refreshing as I initially thought.

We will miss his/her comment, but no worries, according to Plato, there will be a copy in his Math world.

We just need to send someone to get there and bring it back.

Let's hope!

Was Rosie

Oh, my god, thank god you're back!

Life wouldn't be complete here without you.

Dear Niloufar, Mola, Midwesty

by Jaleho on

I read your recent good popular blogs which managed to attract so many comenters, I had to catch up! Nice contents.

--Niloufar jan, as ususal your sane and one of a kind analysis of " western rationality" was a pleasure to read.

--Dear Mola, the realist in you and hazrat shotor harf nadarand!

--Midwesty jan, although I prefer the real Iran tour to the virtual one(ugly snob, I know :-), but your brilliant idea of the virtual tour  gave a REAL mirror of many characters on IC! I loooooved the wastellit funny comment. Too bad that a comment that was liked by so many is deleted becasue of personal taste of one (or lack of it).
