Head of a Brigade!? A brigadier (1 star) general! A colonel!

I am not a military expert but a brigade is composed of up to five battalions, somewhere around 5,000 troops! I mean real trained troops consisting of majors, captains, lieutenants, etc. It takes an average West Point graduate 15 years to become a colonel! To become a flag officer, you need to be the cream of the crop...!

I am sure this fellow was religious, brave,  and whatever you want him to be. But one thing this guy ain't is a 1 star general or a colonel! If he tried hard he could make the rank of a private though!
Of course, if your military consists of brigades of Imam Hossain and AbolFazl then this guy could be a 6 star general!? Why not!

He died defending Iran, and this does not make him any less of a hero than your cousins or all of our relatives who gave their lives. For you to pick and choose who was the "real" hero just shows your own bigotry.

And by the way, the Iran-Iraq war was instigated by Khomeini and further exasperated by the taking of American Hostages by the elements of the so-called Khat'e Imam students!?

تولد و كودكی

به سال 1333 در خانواده‌ای مستضعف، مسلمان، متعهد و دردكشیده در خرمشهر متولد شد. پایبندی خانواده او (بویژه پدرش) به اسلام عزیز باعث گردید كه از همان كودكی عشق به خدا و خاندان عصمت و طهارت(ع) در جان و قلب محمد ریشه دواند. از همین ایام وی تحت نظر پدر بزرگوارش به فراگیری قرآن مجید پرداخت.

فعالیتهای سیاسی – مذهبی

فعالیتهای سیاسی – مذهبی شهید جهان‌آرا از شركت در جلسات مسجد امام صادق(ع) خرمشهر شروع شد. واز همان زمان مبارزه جدی او علیه طاغوت آغاز شد. در سال 1348 – در سن 15 سالگی – تحت تاثیر جنبش اسلامی به رهبری حضرت امام خمینی(ره) همراه عده‌ای از دوستان فعال مسجدی‌اش وارد مبارزات سیاسی شد. ابتدا به برپایی جلسات تدریس و تفسیر قرآن در مساجد پرداخت؛ ضمن آنكه در مبارزات انجمنهای اسلامی دانش‌آموزان نیز شركتی فعال داشت. در اواخر سال 1349 همراه برادرش به عضویت گروه مخفی حزب‌الله خرمشهر درآمد.

افراد این گروه با هم میثاقی را نوشته و امضاء كردند و در آن متعهد شدند كه تحت رهبری حضرت امام خمینی(ره) تا براندازی رژیم منفور پهلوی از هیچ كوششی دریغ نكرده و از جان و مال خویش برای تحقق این امر مضایقه نكنند.

بعد از آن، برای عمل به مفاد عهدنامه و به منظور خودسازی، روزه می‌گرفتند و به انجام عباداتشان متعهد بودند.

این گروه برای انجام نبردهای چریكی، یكسری از ورزشها و آمادگیهای جسمانی را در برنامه‌های روزانه خود قرار داده بودند تا در ابعاد جسمانی و روحانی افرادی خود ساخته شوند.

در سال 1351 این تشكل به وسیله عوامل نفوذی از سوی رژیم منحوس پهلوی شناسایی شد و شهید جهان‌آرا، به همراه سایر اعضای آن دستگیر گردیدند. پس از مدتی شكنجه و بازجویی در ساواك خرمشهر، سید محمد به علت سن كم به یكسال زندان محكوم و به زندان اهواز منتقل گردید. مدتی كه در زندان بود در مقابل شدیدترین شكنجه‌ها مقاومت می‌كرد، به همین جهت دوستانش همیشه از طرف او خاطر جمع بودند كه هرگز اسرار و اطلاعات را فاش نخواهد كرد. ایشان با اخلاق و رفتار پسندیده و حسن برخوردش، عده‌ای از زندانیان غیرسیاسی را نیز به مسیر مبارزه و سیاست كشانده بود.

پس از آزادی از زندان، پرتلاشتر از گذشته به فعالیت خود ادامه داد و ساواك او را احضار و تهدید كرد تا از فعالیتهای سیاسی و اسلامی كناره‌گیری كند. تهدیدی بی‌نتیجه، كه منتهی به نیمه مخفی شدن فعالیتهای او و دوستانش گردید.

پس از اخذ دیپلم (در سال 1354) برای ادامه تحصیل راهی مدرسه عالی بازرگانی تبریز شد و برای شكل‌گیری انجمن اسلامی این مركز دانشگاهی تلاش نمود. در این زمان در تكثیر و پخش اعلامیه‌های امام امت(ره) و نیز انتشار جزوه‌ها و بیانیه‌های افشاگرانه علیه سیاستهای سركوبگرانه رژیم فعالیت می‌كرد.

در سال 1355 به دلیل ضرورتی كه در تداوم جهاد مسلحانه احساس می‌كرد به گروه منصورون پیوست. از همین دوران بود كه به دلیل ضرورتهای كار مسلحانه مكتبی، ناچار به زندگی كاملاً مخفی روی آورد.

سال 1356 مامور جابجایی مقادیری سلاح از تهران به اهواز شد. در حالی كه گروه توسط عوامل نفوذی ساواك شناسایی شده و گلوگاههای جاده تهران – قم توسط مامورین كمیته مشترك ضدخرابكاری كنترل می‌شد، وی ماهرانه خودرو حامل سلاحها را از تور ساواك عبور داد و به اهواز رساند با همین سلاحها محمد و دوستانش دست به اجرای تعدادی عملیات مسلحانه (هماهنگ با اعتصاب كارگران شركت نفت در اهواز) زدند.

در كنار فعالیتهای مسلحانه، امور سیاسی – تبلیغی را نیز از یاد نمی‌برد و دامنه فعالیتهایش را به شهرهای تهران، قم، یزد، اصفهان و كاشان گسترش داد.

 در یك درگیری سنگین با نیروهای زرهی رژیم، حدود 30 نفر از مزدوران و چماقداران شاهنشاهی را مجروح می‌كنند و سالم به مخفی‌گاه خویش باز می‌گردند.

با پیروزی انقلاب اسلامی در بیست و دوم بهمن 1357 سید محمد پس از دو سال و نیم زندگی مخفی به خرمشهر باز می‌گردد.

در بهار و تابستان سال 1357 محمد تصمیم می‌گیرد تا به منظور گذراندن آموزش و كسب تجارب نظامی بیشتر همراه با عده‌ای از دوستان خود به سوریه و اردوگاههای مقاومت فلسطین برود. شهید حجت‌الاسلام سیدعلی اندرزگو مسئولیت اعزام سید محمد و دوستانش را عهده‌دار می‌شود.

نحوه شهادت

در ساعت 30/19 دقیقه سه شنبه هفتم مهرماه 1360 (بعد از عملیات ثامن‌الائمه) یك فروند هواپیمای سی-130 از اهواز به مقصد تهران در حركت بود تا بدن پاك و مطهر شهدا را به خانواده‌هایشان و مجروحین عزیز جنگ را به بیمارستانها برساند، كه در منطقه كهریزك تهران دچار سانحه شد و سقوط كرد. از جمله شهدای این سانحه تیمسار سرلشكر شهید ولی الله فلاحی (جانشین رئیس ستاد مشترك آجا)، سرتیپ شهید موسی نامجو (وزیر دفاع)، سرتیپ خلبان شهید جواد فكوری (مشاور جانشین رئیس ستاد مشترك آجا)، سردار سرلشكر پاسدار شهید یوسف كلاهدوز (قائم مقام فرماندهی كل سپاه) و سردار سرلشكر پاسدار شهید سید محمد علی جهان‌آرا (فرمانده سپاه خرمشهر) بودند

These folks all use an ideology to promote their interests be it communism by vietcongs or use of holy Quran by his alike for selfish personal class warfare of ommaties. He was born in Khoramshahr, a khozestani with close ties to Saddam financed armed terrorists before revolution. During revolution,His group was partly responsible of burning 300 people alive in cinema Rex Abadan. A messenger of Ayatollah khomeini sermons etc. After revolution as commander of khoramshahr naval base he was the man finding & naming & sending over 95 patriotic officers to firing squad during Nojeh coup expose. & some of these officers had nothing with culprits of Nojeh to begin with.

The true heroes of Iran-Iraq wars were nationalist folks like my 2 cousin pilots who died over skies of iraq in anonymity, one in havanirooz & one in airforce. They died for "Iran" & not for self interest or foreign cause of Ommah and made up fanfare and propaganda.
