My beef: It is only fair to compare names, pictures, titles when someone attacks another person.  There are worse examples, I am not in the mood to post them.

Kenny Roger, not Kenny G. I could easily imagine hanging myself if I listened to more than a minute of KG. KR used to be rock singer, with no success, until he switched to Country and...MM jan between you and me, I've also thought about switching too. Just start a blog out there without any of this hassel. We all have our lives. At the moment more than anything else this experience has become a matter of principal and transparency.

My presence in here all depends on Emran Salahi having a proper introduction in here, as he deserves and ought to. cheers

Although the over arching theme here is violations and procedures to address and remedy them, it might be a good idea to keep this thread focused on blog content, and criterias for it.

After the discussion in here is exausted and concluded, I shall post Emran Salahi's blog for the third and last time. Admin behoves us an explanation for this episode. cheers

the trouble with the IC-rules

In my opinion, the first trouble with the rules here is that they are enforced probaby x10 if the blog or the comment is flagged by someone/group.  And, as we know, some people have shorter fuses.  I have never flagged a comment/blog, however, I did ask the admin to report a physically threatening blog.

The second problem is the demarkation line between attacking a celebrity and a person, which I think is arbitarily set by the admin.

Furthermore, my personal feeling here is that if you offend a group, they "gang-bang" flag the blogger when there is something a little out of line. And, as a result, the admin puts his/her microscope on the blogger and the rest, you know....

PS, I would like to think that my sweat serenade of Lucille (by Kenny G.) brought you back, but I can only dream! Right?  Welcome back, MG.

With the exception of #6, and #8, you have just summarized my posts since my very first one!

I suppose that I should flesh out #15 so that the detailed list grows longer. As it stands now, I feel so unfulfilled!

"What constitutes a 'personal attack'?" Here is the list:

1. Criticizing IRR,
2. Pointing out one's support of IRR,
3. Pointing out one's applying double standard,
4. Pointing out one's hypocrisy,
5. Pointing out one's lack of logic,
6. Admiring the Shah and his contribution to Iran,
7. Comparing & contrasting the conditions prior to post An-Ghollab,
8. Insulting Allah, Qor'ann, Muhammad, and the 12 Imams,
9. Supporting sanctions against the criminal IRR,
10. Suggesting exclusive and surgical strikes against criminal IRR,
11. Saying things one considers against his/her prejudices and biases,
12. Criticizing Palestine,
13. Criticizing Hezbollah,
14. Criticizing NIAC, CASMII, etc. and the members,
15. The list goes on and on...

What constitutes a 'personal attack'?

Seriously, it will soon reach a point to where if you say you simply disagree, or if you respond with, "yes, but..." it's considered a personal attack.

Turning the Negative into Positive! That's the way.

Agahy Ala, I sympathize with your concern, though I really haven't expereinced any personal attacks in here.

Admin's initial objection, (a very incorrect assesment), was that, all the blog's content was from a single site, and I had just "copy & paste" the whole thing. Which obviously was not the case.

At the moment I'm really at a loss, as to why such a significant, popular poet, would get such an incredibly shabby treatment?

I'm too old for pissing contests. Lets get to the bottom of this. A brief, straight forward explanation of the procedures from Admin, is the least we could expect from the IC managment, and it would go a long way right now.

Needless to say, Mashti is not the only one in here interested in a rational closure to this sordid affair. The masses are watching, and we all deserve an explanation. Cheers

I was also confused what is the rules with regards to quoting from other sites. Is it originality or is it as Divaneh pointed some kind of copyright this site is concerned about. Maybe we can turn this unfortunate confusion into a positive by asking Admin to write a blog about how we can overcome these matters and what the general rules are. For example do you have to write an introuction and then put a link to something? I do not know anthing about these things but please let us turn this experience into something we can all learn from insteading of a battle of wills with Admin. I do sympathise with your confusion. This could happen to anybody so please do not treat it as personal or a reason to leave the site. I hope Admin will provide some clarification for everyone, it would be very useful.

Personal attacks...

I have complained several times to IC administrators for allowing personal attacks, especially by those who use pseudo name(s).   It seems there is no accountability. 

Admin needs to explain why the blogs on Salahi were deleted.

This is an outrageous vilolation of FREE SPEECH.

No matter how you look at it, there's no justification what so ever for deletign a blog twice in a row!

Are we on an ego trip?

Having a hard time reading and understanding Persian?

Bad memories of kids from Javadieh?

Come clean, and explain and justify these most irrational actions, or else everyone on this site will realize that all the claims of free speech in here in just baloney.

Dear Mash Grasim I understand how angry you could be. I really liked that blog and was going to add some more of the Iran khan's writings there. This is ridiculous as publishing such small amount of a book that was published in Iran does not do anything but to promote it and make everyone to remember the great man. There is no infringement on the writer's or publisher's right and therefore it’s deletion is nonsense.

I follow the example of Sadra and add something from Imran's to this blog and hope that everyone else would do so too. That way you have your Imran Salahi blog and hopefully reconsider and stay here. I hope admin understand that featuring small amount of famous Iranian writers' work does not infringe on anyone's right.
