The kind of debates presented below would not be considered all that noteworthy, but rather routine, in any society where meaningful debates on state policies are conducted in national media. But given the monopoly by the party line in the Iranian state media, the clips below from Sadegh Zibakalam's debates might appear rather refreshing.

2) "Islamic Republic akin to Stalinist regimes" (the following 2 clips are from a radio debate, to which someone's added some images, conducted more than a year ago, before Ahmadinejad's "deviant current" also became a thorn in the side of the dominant faction, probably to be cast aside by "mardom"):
