Life is stranger than fiction. I keep telling a friend of mine. One of these days, I might just write of all, I had to over come in life. However, who would believe it! Life has been difficult for me but some how I manage to keep on going. I have found some limited joy here and there. It is more than some poor souls in this world have experienced. It never fails, there will always be someone better off or worse than you.
Now, the best is finding true contentment and joy in whom one is. As the New Year begins, I am about to begin a new facet of my life. I am about to make some major changes in my life. I will write about them in another blog as I make the permanent changes.
I am very blessed to have a job that I love going to. Knowing that I can make a major positive impact in the lives of 18 young people is one of the reasons that I get up everyday. I can't wait to get to work and try out new learning strategies that might help them reach academic success.
I am also blessed to still be in a Masters program after my hospitalization in August. It took all the will, I had to complete my class but it was worth it. I made an A! I also, learned many things that will be beneficial for my students.
I was able to spend time with family over my holiday vacation. I did my best to remember to stop and rest from time to time. I worked on decluttering my place. Good grief! How we do collect stuff in our life. I decided it was time to let go of many things. It was not easy at first but as I saw how much better things became, I knew it as necessary. Also, in our personal life, how many of us clutter it with uncessary things?
The New Year is a good time to take a good look at one's life and home. Time to do some work and declutter ourselves.

by Latina on Tue Jan 03, 2012 07:20 AM PSTIt has been a long time. Happy New Year!
I think your decluttering is a good idea. I have also been getting rid of any furniture that I don't absolutely need. My mom was concerned at first but now she sees the logic in it.
"Hope 2012 is a year of peace and harmony!" Well hope is eternal...you never know......it could happen. :o)

by Esfand Aashena on Tue Jan 03, 2012 06:15 AM PSTNatalie clutter is really bad but whenever I get a chance I try to get rid of a thing or two or three ... I try to have "open spaces" and don't look at them at places that must be filled!
Hope 2012 is a year of peace and harmony! Yeah right!
