Separation

Hi Zari,

I have been separated from my wife for a year now. It will become permanent sometime this year.

This is stupid, there is no "censorship"

some dear hamvatans have truely forgotton what real censhorship is like.

As someone who has had 1 comment removed, I can tell you this is bullshit. Don't listen to these people who are obviously upset only because their own comment was removed. I cussed out one person and I was removed, which I think is fair in retrospect.

This site has the most liberal comment policy I have ever seen. Maybe it should be written down for people to see, but it's definitly not suffering from too many deletions. There are still plenty of comments that are just complete wastes of time, that are not deleted. These are lowering the value of this site, but who am I to argue wiht the master?

I heard in one of your interviews you were going through a seperation. What's your situation now ;-) ?Do you blame "Iranian.com", at least partially, for that?

Leaving Comments - Everybody is "Right" here

JJ, the way things are as far as leaving Comments on your Website is very similar to when the "Insanes" take over the "Assylum".

People using "Multiple" names, not throughout the site, but on the "Same" article.

AS far as your censors, well I remember you mentioning that they have "Very Little" background in Journalism. In such a situation you need to give them "Specific" Guidelines for "Consistency".

I mean no "Vulgarity" (4-letter words, etc,), or gratuitous "Personal Attacks" or "Threats" should be allowed.

It is a preventive measure of a decease than trying to cure it afterwards. but that I have explained in detail before ... and jj is not high anymore , so I lost my chance to tell him again while hewas more open to the idea ;-)

I think by now there are about a dozen guard dogs loose on this site. Some are obviously less tolerant than others. But your complaints will make a difference and if any of them get of hand I will chain them for a few days :o)

Balance

First every one screams and yells that there's no moderation. Now it's too much moderation? Unfair deletions? I will make a note of it and keep an open eye. We will get to some sort of balance. We're are learning.

Please see my comments I just posted on JJ's last photo essay from Belgium regarding censorship. Your Royal Highness, a little bit of "kif" is NOT the problem but there IS a MAJOR problem....but it isn't JJ who's doing the unfair deletions, it's one of the moderators. I'm glad it finally happened to me in a very big and offensive way because now I understand why you and your "faction" were accusing me of this...but it NEVER was me...I NEVER flag posts that are not EXTREMELY offenisve and I NEVER flag for ideology...and JJ doesn't delete unfairly either...but someone is...someone is

Censoring comments

Hi Asghar,
The object is not censorship. You should know that's the last thing me or the moderators want to do. We just want to preserve a MINIMUM of "civility" for lack of a better word. Too much cursing and personal attacks will keep people away. If you are trying to make a point nobody would or should remove your comment. If they do, you just emal me at jj@iranian.com va pedar e oon editor o dar miaaram!

Someone had alluded that you were on some sort of ..... and high. He was saying that is the reason for you or your moderators censoring iranian.com comments and posts. Now we have it out of the horse's mouth. A confirmation!
