You are an Islamist Rapist Republic (IRR) apologist if:
1- Whatever wrong IRR does, you see a Jew plot behind it all.
2- You defend IRR first then ask question about the charge.
3- You know given time, IRR will be groovy.
4- You have incontrovertible proof that IRR has got a bad wrap by the Zionist controlled mass media.
5- You believe whatever PressTV shovels out.
6- Just like IRR, sometimes you mix up the Jew, Israel and Zionist thing.
7- You live in the sane world, but follow IRR line that they’re evil.
8- You hate nuke bomb, but until all others give theirs up, IRR has an inalienable right to have some.

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sat Feb 18, 2012 02:29 AM PSTBoth left and right in extremes are bad. In addition there is no single definition of them. For example I support Social Security does that mean I am "left wing"? But I don't bash America so does that make me "right wing"?
See it is not as one dimensional as people make it. We need moderation and balance but human nature pushes people to radicalism. If a little bit of left made sense then a lot of it must be great! If a little bit of right made sense then lots of it is great. If a bit of religion helped someone then a theocracy must be the best! Wrong on all of the above !!! A tiny bit of medicine may saves your life but too much of it will kill you. Why do we still debate in such terms.
Regarding peace in the Middle East. That is the code for Israel Arab issue. I want it resolved but don't want to tie my or Iranian future to its resolution.

by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on Fri Feb 17, 2012 06:43 PM PST#1) If you a member of the congress of the USA and support extremist undermining secular democratic iranians.
#2) If you are any US President since Carter from either party being elected by the political forces of corporate America to serve them.
#3) You believe Secular Democracy and Freedom together are only for some people and Iranians are not included.
#4) If after seeing tens of millions/majority of 4 legged/long eared Iranians march for khomeini, you still believe that Iranians were fully capable of realizing a secular democracy in the 70's and still blame the late shah for not creating a secular democracy sooner, as if jeopardizing Freedom to create a democracy in a country with no history of it's a legitimate demand.
#5) You can't unite behind the only Iranian institution that did not betray Iranians during the Pahlavi era, but helped increase freedom for them.
4 & 5 acknowledge that ignorance helps the IRR as much as their own fans.

by G. Rahmanian on Fri Feb 17, 2012 04:50 PM PSTOf course, we all know IR is more like Switzerland. So why these useless arguments? We know about the genteel and well-refined manners of the Mullahs, the Basijis and IRGC members. We have all experienced it, one way or the other.
Never have I heard a Mullah or any IR politician speak of war, wiping another state off the face of the world or threatening other countries. For the life of me I don't know what some of my friends are talking about, here.

Sanctions are easily remove if IRI
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Fri Feb 17, 2012 01:16 PM PSTwould stop getting in the face of the world. I know this is not about nuclear. But it is about their funding of Hizbollah and Hamas. It is about their championing the Palestinians.
Why is this an Iran problem. Government of Iran should be interested in Iran. Not in Palestinians or Hamas. Why are they picking a fight with every power they find. Maybe USA does something wrong; fine but why should Iran worry about it.
I hear people complain about USA interfering with the world. They say world does not need a policeman. Great why the same people want Iran to be the police. Why should Iran stick its nose into business that does not belong to it.
Very Interesting Masud! I make sure to look at it ..thanks

Yes, Israeli government and likuniks are horrible but there are many jews against their own governenment but on this site they are constantly stereotyped and maligned.
Tikkun olam (Hebrew: תיקון עולם) is a Hebrew phrase that means "repairing the world." In Judaism, the concept of tikkun olam originated in the early rabbinic period. The concept was given new meanings in the kabbalah of the medieval period and further connotations in modern Judaism.[1]
Read some books instead of parroting left-wing propaganda against the Juadism.

US Sanctions.....Check Norway GDP trends in the last 50 years - you will see an amazing change right after USA put sanctions of Iranian Oil in the late 70's.

by masoudA on Fri Feb 17, 2012 12:51 PM PSTI would like to expand on your last post.......On the surface you are correct - although I disagree with you on Isreal has a hand on every mess in the world......My good man - the notion of Jews being the most influential people on earth is flaud...if they were they would not be victimized so many times, over and over, even today....througout history. Those who actualy call the shots are safe and relaxed even during world wars!! and want Moslems tro think Jews control America and the world.
As for IR apologists.....I personaly I do have a problem with, but do not despise fools who truely bvelieve in the Islamic Republic and come here and express their opinions and even downplay IR faults and defaults. I do however despise non-fools who frequent internet sites like this and several other Iranian mediums......and spread IR propaganda talking points to shift specific thoughts and policies. If you only frequent Iranian.com you would likely miss it....but if you follow several mediums at once - then you would recognize the IR propaganda and weekly talking points........only then you can look at IC and see who is involved with the "weekly talking points". This particular week - the topic is Isreal..... next week it may ve Reza Pahlavi,....

by Soosan Khanoom on Fri Feb 17, 2012 12:43 PM PSTIranian people are being held captive by both the IRI and the Zionists agendas ... .. Of course we should focus on IRI but at the same time on the Zionists, cause these two worshipers of Holy S*%#!( aka Jerusalem ) exist on each other existence and both are sucking the iranian people's blood.
People like Fred who are creating such a list of BS are here to prevent others from even slightly talking about certain issues that are related to Iran especially these days. by Reality-Bites on Fri Feb 17, 2012 10:05 AM PSTFirst, I'd like to say, even though I might not always agree with her, SK is anything but an IR apologist. She's been on record numerous times not only criticizing the IR, but calling for its removal. So, it's unfair, incorrect and unkind to label SK a supporter of the regime.
Second, even speaking as someone who doesn't think much of Israel's foreign policies, frequent and gross flouting of UN Resolutions and International Law and its mistreatment of Palestinians, we Iranians really do need to get off our obsession with Israel, stop seeing their hands behind every mess affecting Iran, and get a grip on the reality that the prime responsibility for the hostilities between Israel and Iran rests squarely with the IR.
Third, I quite like Fred's top 10.

by Soosan Khanoom on Fri Feb 17, 2012 07:21 AM PSTHow to Have a Civil Conversation About Israel
by Josh Kornbluth
1. Give up.
2. Devote a large portion of your life to avoiding the subject.
3. Respond to a mid-life crisis by seeking comfort in tradition while at the same time avoiding the constraints of religious practice.
4. Watch Fiddler on the Roof and sigh at the memory of your grandmother playing "Sunrise, Sunset" on the record player while crying her eyes out about how your father ended up so rotten.
5. Consider going to temple.
6. Nap.
7. Renew Golda biography from the library again. Promise yourself that you will read it.
8. Remember how the last time you tried talking about Israel was with your friend Peter, who started yelling and driving erratically while you sat in silence and pondered your own mortality.
9. Wonder how Peter has been doing these past fifteen years.
10. Re-renew Golda from the library.
11. At a social event, subtly broach the subject as follows: "So the [LOCAL SPORTS TEAM] sure aren't doing too well this year, huh?" When your interlocutor replies, "Tell me about it!" follow up with a casual, "And how about that situation with Israel?" From this point on, agree with everything your interlocutor says, occasionally inserting such phrases as "No, they never get it right, do they?" and "And so it has been for thousands of years!" End the conversation with a big embrace and the mutual promise that you will not rest until there is a just resolution to the Middle East conflict.
12. Rest.
13. While working out on an elliptical trainer, psych yourself up to possibly disagree with someone about Israel. Become distracted by the thought that your beliefs seem to be elliptical as well -- initially bold ideas that inevitably get derailed by doubts and confusion and fear of being yelled at, until finally they trail off into nothingness ...
14. Shower.
15. Seemingly out of nowhere, suddenly become seized with a terrible existential fear that this idea you never really took seriously -- this thing that you thought you could take or leave -- might actually vanish, be wiped away from the face of the earth.
16. Simultaneously be seized by a terror of this now-beloved thing being appropriated by those who would see you as "the Other."
17. Call Peter and arrange a meeting, specifying that it should not take place in a car.
18. Prepare for the meeting by doing deep-breathing exercises and visualizing agreement.
19. First ask Peter about the [LOCAL SPORTS TEAM] and strenuously agree with his assessment. Then inquire as to how Peter has been doing for the past fifteen years: work, family, etc. Finally, raise the subject of Israel.
20. Listen to Peter's lengthy response.
21. At an appropriate moment, interject, "But what about--" and then be cut off as Peter's voice rises in ever-increasing indignation. Later, interject, "But you have to admit that--" and then settle in for a long while, sipping water or coffee as needed.
22. Bid farewell to Peter with a curt handshake and without meeting his eyes, realizing you will probably never see him again.
23. Slouch homeward.
24. Pick up Golda biography; admire its heft. Put book aside and lie in bed, unable to sleep. Recall the time when you brought your prized Super 8 projector to your second-grade public-school classroom and showed your classmates a silent movie about Israel. Recall their delight at the footage of a man floating on his back in the Dead Sea with his coffee cup and saucer floating right there next to him. Think of how you felt -- a combination of pride and wonderment that such a place existed.
25. Dream.
26. Wake up. Make coffee. Sit down at the breakfast table. Read articles and blog items and emails about Israel. Decide that from now on you are going to say exactly what you think, regardless of your insecurities and fears. Go stand in front of a mirror. Begin, and never move.
