The last time I wrote about Lady Nasrine Sotoudeh the imprisoned human rights attorney in Iran was back on September the 13th. But that does not by any stretch of the imagination mean out of sight out of mind.
There is good news and there is bad news about her. First the great news, she is alive. The bad news is she lost her father while in captivity and was not allowed to attend his funeral. And that after twelve days on hunger strike; she is under mental pressure and “threat”.
Her husband, Mr. Reza Khandan, along with their attorney have been put on notice to not publicize her case or talk to journalists in the free world. Nevertheless he has been talking and the latest is the first and only phone call from her since her incarceration well over a month ago.
In the three second call, yes three seconds, before the line went dead, Lady Nasrine got to say the word “threat” to her husband.
The Islamist Rapists and their gofers worldwide need to know their crimes are being catalogued by at least three centers and when the time comes, and it will come, they will be held accountable for every single one of them.
What they need to do is to set Lady Nasrin and her colleagues free. These attorneys will be the ones who will be defending the Islamist Rapists; it is unwise of them to deny themselves dedicated legal counsel.

I wish the writers of "Fred"
by Sargord Pirouz on Wed Oct 06, 2010 05:23 PM PDTI wish the writers of "Fred" would better coordinate with one another. This is evidence they're not all under one roof.
This writer is the worst. The first sentence is a run-on disaster.
How many times do I have to tell you Israelis that in English, the period goes inside the quotation mark?
Don't use a semicolon if you don't know its proper usages.
In the first use of "threat," the use of scare quotes signifies the word is highlighted to indicate that it does not signify its literal or conventional meaning. Surely your intent is not to be ironic.
You folks desperately need a copy editor that's fluent in English. It would probably be best to steer away from one that's a native Hebrew speaker.
