Nasrollah had to do something for $200M pocket money from IRI!

and he chose to make the ALL-hated Iranians as Arab as it can be.

Of course, as VPK said, he does not know true Iranians.  He has not lived in Iran and his contacts are IRI-type folks.  So, he is making Iranians more palatable for his crowd.  Is it worth $200M/year?  Naaaaa.

The problem

The problem I have with this blog is that it is factually wrong.   There is plenty of Iranian culture in Iran. It just happens that Arabs are ruling Iran. There are plenty of real Iranians in Iran. They practice our culture albeit under pressure. Islam attacks Iran all the time. However cultures do survive oppression. In fact oppression generally backfires and people do the opposite. Ban religion and everyone wants religion. Ban Persian culture and your make all the youth want to practice it.

I think this type of blog wants to invoke "Shock" to "wake" us so we show some life. Well some of us have known the danger for some time. Others may need a wake up. I hope it works.

The problem is this: We are awake now so what do we do? In the face of a murderous military dictatorship what do we do to get rid of it.We need practical ideas.

I am really all ears. Does anyone have any proposals. We need to do something instead of just writing gloomy blogs. No more feeling sorry for ourselves.

Islam

has never had any respect for Iranian people. Nor has it shown any respect for Persian way of life. In fact it tried really hard to turn us into Arabs. Just like the "Borg" to absorb us and rob us of our national identity.

It was thanks to patriotic poets like Ferdowsi that we survived. No thanks to Islamists. This was not 100% successful as we see now. There are some Iranians who have become Muslim first. They have lost their identity but most of us have not.

I am an Iranian. I do not want to be a part of the "Greater Islam". I don't want friends like Nassrallah and Arafat. I don't even want to be associated with them.

Thanks to Saddam the myth of Islamic brotherhood is gone. Thanks to Islamic Republic we all know what Islam is about.

Persian culture is part of Islamic civilization

Islamic civilization encompasses the Arab world, Iranian world, Indian world, Malay, Turkic and so on.

Nasrallah is saying that Iran is not the enemy of the Arabs and Sunnis because it is part of the same Islamic civilization.

only the part that he said there's no iranian/persian culture, he got it wrong.  he's right that iran is being ruled by arabs.  if not, why our people are oppressed, why our women are especially oppressed, why do we practice stoning, juvenile execution, amputation of limbs, gouging of eyes....

btw, i do find this clip more news-worthy than many current pieces on the front page of i.com.
