Yesterday was a wonderful day, not only because my lovely American cousins were enjoying a long weekend, but also for the fact that in our digital community I witnessed something that I had not witnessed before. It was sort of ground breaking event where the two sides of the debate ended their exchanges on fine notes of understanding, and almost tucked each other to bed...........

You see, this is the thing with our intellectuals........all they have to do is to keep their inner Shaboon checked..........this process is a bit different from that of Western intellectuals.......Those Westerners have to unleash their inner academic in order to achieve a degree of civility..................And so far, ladies and gentlemen, I have to report to you that unfortunately and yet most predictably, they have beaten us.

Having said all of that, somewhere in the middle of the blog I wished I could've magically brroken into my computer's screen and landed in the middle of the two fellows, grab all those books which the two sides were tossing at each others and burn them right there..............before their gaping eyes....................Then I would have shouted at them: " here, you want a book? this is the book, the one and only you and our nation needs" I only assume that by then, at least one of the two would've been totally taken aback and frozen ( to be honest with you I am not sure, how the other fellow would have reacted...let's just assume that his Shaboon would still have been checked ).........

" This is the book, fellows", I would have continued, reading its title loud and clear:" Home depot edition of how to fix a nation for dummies".........." am I clear to you guys, or are you still wondering how I was able to jump in here?"..............

And at that moment I would have asked the two to think back and remember the old man in his eighties, who was wearing his traditional sandals............who spoke the language of the masses........(here I have to be careful; some say he built, while others say he destroyed), one thing is for sure though: he did whatever he did for the fact he had mastered the art of connection with his people.......That was all he knew, and that was all he needed..............

Look at my..........it's getting late..........pardon me, I've to go..........you see, in my host country we have to drink tea and some biscuits at this time of the day..........it's a sort of daily ritual for keeping the public civil..................

I agree with you about This:

he did whatever he did for the fact he had mastered the art of connection with his people.......That was all he knew, and that was all he needed..............

& HE WAS A BASTARD.

Just to let the reader know that the interchange was between the 'Wet Folwer' & the 'Saw Saddle.' The contradictions of their own thoughts were profund in that cyber-space show, however, regardless of their library sizes behind them!

In regard to the 80 years old man, GOD reserves the final call to himself about us all! Someting is woth mentioning though, Mohandes Mathama Gandhi might not find a trace of the other 'sandle wearing old man' anywhere in the heaven!
