To me Musavi and Karoubi  are just bunch of theocratic criminal mullahs who should be arrested along with the rest of the members of criminal IRI regime and punished.  You do not clean up a corrupted society form criminals with the help of the criminals. The change should be real and in depth not just a brush-up reform;  A pig is still a pig with the lipstick.

Please watch what happened in Egypt and learn. Who do you suggest to call for people to the streets at this very crucial moment in the region, Reza Pahlavi? If the revolution of 79 ended in disaster, that does not mean that we should fear try uprising against common enemy again. It means that we have experienced now and we should watch for any group stealing yet another revolution.Mousavi and Karroubi have proven again and agin that they are much more knowledgable politically and what the country needs, more than anyone who wants to save Iran on LA Tv's.

It's because of the people's refusal to ghahr and tahrim back in June 2009 that a movement gained steam and it shook the foundations of IR.  No, Green Movement is not rosy. It is actually full of shortcomings, but it can't be stopped now.  The ball is rolling.  Now, what would have happened if the people had decided to boycott the election?  That's right.  Not a damn thing.

If there is demonstration of any kind we should support it and not to think about the politics and out come because main goal is to get rid out this regime and everything has to start from somewhere and majority of people want to change the regime and not to keep it and let's think who we are and what we want, we are Iranian who wants to restore the country and get our dignity back and our freedom and there is no excuses and regime cannot be more weaker than now it is and let's put our emotion a side.

This is NOT about Mousavi, but solidarity for Iran to get rid of the military regime of Khamenei and Ahmadinejad.

You and the regime have the same demand: Boycott 25 Bahman! So who benefits from Boycott? Iranians or regime?

agree and disagree

while i agree that mousavi, the accidental leader of 2009 uprising, is (and always has been) a strong proponent of velayat faghih.  and although, i believe that he's trying to re-formulate "green" by reminding his followers that they need to get permit from islamic republic to rise against it and never forget to chant "islamic republic" while demonstrating, i don't agree with the tone of this blog and its perscription to the "true iranians" (iranihaay raastin).

i'm interested to see what the ramifications of the call for protest on 25 bahman will be.  i truly think that mousavi and karoubi know that their mere existence is threatened by the fall of this regime.  no matter how it will fall.  this exercise will just give one more chance for mousavi and karoubi to reveal themselves for those who think these former insiders might be iran's only or at least best chance to get rid of the islamic republic. furthermore, the last time that iranians rallied behind a person to show a united front, they got duped into having an islamic republic.

I disagree, very strongly with the message of this blog.

Maybe the first thing we all as individuals need to do is to a) decide what we want, b) how do we think we can get it. 

There was a timely reminder yesterday on this site in form of a blog about "Siahkal". Everybody condemend the whole attack, the ideology behind it, so on. Nobody bothered saying why it happened, what were the consequences and are there any lessons to be learnt for today's situation. Now here we are, criticizing, dismissing people in Iran who want to take advantage of any gaps and holes in the system to push the agenda of democracy in Iran. So what do you suggest? start another "siahkal"?  "surgical strikes"? or just hope for the ahmadinezhad and khamenei to peacefully resign, dismantle the islamist regime, and go!

My friends, You dont have to support mousavi's political stance. You have to view him within the context of a united front, consisting of a spectrum of political ideas, against the islamist regime.

You are playing into regime's hands when you ask for arrest and trial of Mr Mousavi and Karoobi.

It's a waste of time, energey, money and even life for  to follow these bozo's in a hope of going from one bad version of omatestan to another bad version of omatestan.

The struggle in Iran has be to for some thing far more nobel and important: the resurection of true Iran, Iranian values, language, customs, culture, way of doing things, otherwise stay with status quo.
