All you need to do is a google search. Here is one result from such a search:

Almost every site that is apolitical refers to the original name of this university as Aryamehr. Only after the fall of the Pahlavi monrachy did they change the name to Sharif to honor one of thier own kind.

Correction! Aryamehr NOT Sharif

Mr Kadivar, I am surprized that, given your monarchist idealogy and insisting on historic accuracy, you call this university Sharif (after a terrorist belonging to MKO). At least it was not called Sharif in 1970's that you have shown a picture of. It was called Aryamehr Institute of Technology. Please stick to historic accuracy.
