Shah and Shahbanou of Iran on State Visit to Finland face Student Protests organized by leftwing organizations hostile to the Shah's White Revolution. Part of the Hostility towards the Royal Visit was probably due to the incidents of June,2nd 1967, in Berlin. Germany where Benno Ohnesorg, a young student pacifist was Shot dead by a German Police during Anti Shah Protests.

Those were the days!!

by Farah Rusta on

Euro-communist youths of the late 1960's and 1970's turned to be the small/big time capitalists of the later decades. Enjoying the benefit systems of their corresponding countries while protesting the capitalist system!! Not bad, not bad at all.

Not to forget the Pahlavi foundation busuries enjoyed by the anti-Shah Iranian students of the same period, That's what I call "the best of both worlds"
