An interesting French documentary on the atmosphere in Iran a few weeks before Khomeiny's triumphal return. Despite an atmosphere of Freedom and enthusiasm a drift between clerical and leftwing ideologies start to appear. Bakhtiar is still Prime Minister but his conciliatory calls leave the opposition leaders indifferent. MKO and leftists call for violent change. Rajavi head of the MKO and Taleghani close to Khomeiny interviewed amongst other figures of the time.

I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek

Guilty as charged!

Farhad do you feel better now? You have blamed a bunch of people on the Internet for this awful IRI. Take me to jail please. I am a "lefty" therefore I am responsible for this regime. I am not in favor of wars and bombing. I am not in favor of people determining another people's government (it usually hasn't worked in the long run... so if IRI is UK made, hopefully you'll have your chance soon!). I am a proponent of universal health care, a woman's right to choose abortion or life, environmental and animal conservation - thus, judging by what you wrote, I'm "a partner in crime" whenever the IRI commits another atrocity.

You are obviously cutting edge. You must feel very good.

Dariush jaan,

Thanks for posting this. And happy new year aziz.

The Iranian left, and nowadays, the global left, is partners in the crimes committed by the IRI against Iran and the world. The world is begining to realize that.
