French Pop Star Joe Dassin was the son of American French film director Jules Dassin (Topkapi). He had a huge following In Iran amongst the Francophile Iranians who attended French Speaking Community Schools In Iran and even gave a Private concert for the Crown Prince Reza's 17th Birthday in 1977. The photo shows Crown Prince Reza playing to the Drum Beat with Joe Dassin's Band at Niavaran Palace in presence of his parents and siblings.

Yes these two songs are very nice too. He had a great voice and style. Too bad he passed away so quickly in the early eighties.

I was one of those fans you mentioned :0) and still know most of his lyrics by heart.

It's hard to pick a favorite amongst his songs, but besides the ones you mentioned, I also love: salut les amoureux and et si tu n'existais pas
