Before the Islamic revolution in Iran, Ahmed Khomeini (b. March 15, 1946?--d. March 17, 1995) underwent military training in 1974 and 1975 with Palestinian fighters outside Tyre in Lebanon. Ahmed was one of eight children born to Ayatollah Khomeini and his wife, Khadijah. In 1993 he denounced the Oslo peace accord signed by Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization as "treachery to the aspirations of the Palestinian nation and the world of Islam."Ahmad Khomeini was close to his father, the leader of the Iranian revolution of 1979. He helped coordinate affairs during and after the Islamic Revolution, in Khomeini's office in Paris and subsequent to the ayatollah's return to Iran in February 1979.Ahmad Khomeini was selected as a member of Assembly of Experts, and also as the supreme leader’s representative in Supreme National Security Council. The circumstances surrounding his death ( reported from Heart Attack ) remain subject to controversy amidst a power struggle between different factions of the Islamic Republic's Leadership. He was accused by Grand Ayatollah Montazeri the one time designated successor of the Ayatollah as Supreme Leader ( but replaced in that role by the current Ayatollah Ali Khamenei) of being linked to the 1988 Massacre of Political Opponents in Iran. His name was also linked to the 1994 bombings of the Jewish Center in Buenos Aires that killed 85 people and injured hundreds and the Israeli Embassy Attack in London a few days later.
