The 1975 Franco-German Production Michel Strogoff hit Iranian TV at the time of the Revolution. Based on the novel by Jules Verne and with an unforgettable music scpre by Vladimir Cosma. The Very Last Episode was interrupted due to the fall of the monarchy in Iran and the revolutionary government. The Series are now available in French and German on amazon.fr.

Plot:Michael Strogoff is a courier for the czar Alexander II of Russia. When the Tatar king Feofar Khan invades Russia, Strogoff is sent to Irkutsk to warn the governor, who is the brother of the czar, against the traitor Ivan Ogareff. On his way he meets the beautiful Nadia Fedor ...

It is amazing to find out that Iranians and Québécois used to watch the same old TV series in the 70's.  I remember well Michel Strogoff. When I was a kid, I was almost traumatized when he was nearly blinded by a red, fuming sword. Oui, le monde est petit.
