Former Film Star Nasser Malek Moteii was seen in Tehran recently at a ceremony amongst former film stars. Motrei shared the screen as a popular figure throughout the 60's and seventies opposite such film legends as the Late Fardin, and the always living Behrouz Vossoughi.

The World of Iranian Cinema should celebrate them while they are alive.

The IRI has done its best to destroy Ghayrat, Mardanegi and luti gari, but has failed.

Not Shocked Just a little Sad

by Darius Kadivar on

Just wished that these artists would get the recognition they deserved as pioneers. Iran would not have Kiarostami's and Makhmalbafs if it were not for them. Look at How Hollywood or European Cinema celebrates its Veterans like Clint Eastwood or Robert Redford. We send our Great Artists like Fardin and Motei to the noon baie. Imagine Harrison Ford making a living by returning to his initial job: Carpenter ? Not that there is any shame in that profession but heck you don't wish your film stars who were role models to society be reduced to washing dishes or baking bread ...

Another Great Gentleman: Manouchehr Vossough

They were the Iranian Icons. He was lucky being with the most attractive Iranian female actresses ever. Hope to see him in an interview and hear what he is up to.
