by fooladi on Tue Jul 20, 2010 12:33 AM PDTI supported the MKO demo against the islamist fascist regime like I'd support any other Iranian demosntrating against the islamist regime. I'd even support monarchists if they demo against regime. That does not mean I support any of these organisations.
No good attacking people personally. No one is attacking you personally. You might not know, but you are not doing your cause any good this way.
Very True fooladi Jaan
by Darius Kadivar on Tue Jul 20, 2010 12:25 AM PDTAll the more that Supporting an MKO Rally in Paris like you did not long ago is Not sixties/seventies But encouraging the Arts and honoring the memory of someone who has bridged Persian Culture with that of the West as is the case for Shojaedin Shafa is deemed Corrupt, distasteful and counterproductive.
Like they say in French:

à bon entendeur, salut !Jason, comments like yours warms my heart..
by fooladi on Tue Jul 20, 2010 12:11 AM PDTTo an outsider , looking at iranian.com, it would appear that iranains have only two options: Monarchy or islamist fascism, and Iranians support either of these optrions. Nothing is further from truth......
maybe a quick glance at Ashraf dehghani's book about her treatment at SAVAK's jail would remind us of what it was like pre velayate vaghih.
And in case our islamist friends are getting "zogh zadeh", let us not forget what the islamic regime did to poet soltanpour......
DK: To think of all anti monarchits as "shariati supporters" is so sixties/seventies shahis. surely you know better.

Sorry to ruin your little royal fantacy . Just do'nt let historical facts get in the way of how you percieve the Pahlavis. Keep on dreaming of your next " Shahanshah" sitting on the peacock throne holding his ( asaye marsaa: a jeweled stick ) wearing a 27lbs crown adorned with the most precious jems , a frock covered with diamonds and reaql gold fabric , a jacket decorated with many many many medals that glitter ..............while the empress visits hospitals on certain days for photo op and even is so sweet that embraces poor little kids from poor families in poor neighborhood who live poorly !!!!
You are either too young or you are suffering from hiostorical alzheimer .
You said it Sargord,At Least..
by Escape on Mon Jul 19, 2010 10:37 AM PDTAt the least of benefits of the Islamic Revolution is that the Pahlavi's are gone and the Savak Torture.Only to be Replaced with new Torturer's.A good rhethorical comparision would be like having a Flat tire so you buy a new tire and it also is Flat. Then you say,Well at Least the old tire is gone.Only you are unwilling to admit even the new tire is Flat. The only 'Revolution' by the Mullah's is the 360 degree's.
Hey, it was popularly
by Sargord Pirouz on Mon Jul 19, 2010 10:21 AM PDTHey, it was popularly enacted, DK. 98.2 % for, which can also be interpreted as 98% against the monarchy.
The reward? Independence and sovereignty. Is there still a lot work to be done? You bet. But at least the puppet's gone for good.
But for a sycophant of the archaic, by all means continue to delude yourself. It's somewhat entertaining, if not effectively harmless.
Oh Shut Up Jason ! ...

Are Pahlavis lover of culture ?????????????
by jasonrobardas on Mon Jul 19, 2010 08:46 AM PDT((((KARNAMEYE PAHLAVI HA)))))))))
The Pahlavis are all lovers of culture . they have a soft spot for writers , poets and journalists , men of literature , EXCEPT
(writer) SAMAD BEHRANGI , drowned in Aras river
(Journalist) MOHAMAD MASOOD, killed by Ashraf's goons
(journalist) KARIMPOUR SHIRAZI, killed
( poet) MORTEZA KEIVAN, shot right after 1953 coup
(poet) KHOSRO GOLESORKHI, executed
(novelist) MAHMUD DOLAT ABADI, harrassed , controlled and tortured
(novelists) Ali M Afghani , Beh azin , Najaf darya bandi , fereydoone tankaboni , gholamhosein saedi , persecuted
(poets) Nima , saeed soltanpur , nemat mirzadeh , Hooshang ebtehaj , Akhavan sales were all persecuted by the pahlavi regime.
( friend of Samad behrangi , writrer ) Behrooz dehghani, tortured to death in prison .His sister ( Ashraf) tortured and raped in prison .
And the list goes on
PS; Shafa is believed to have written the book "The white revolution".
Not a funny business
by comrade on Mon Jul 19, 2010 07:46 AM PDTI know enough of H. Khorsandi that I believe he dressed in this manner so as to not be wholly identified with this crowd, regardless of his immense respect and admiration for the late Sh. Shafa. As another member of this site noted in another post, seeing Khorsandi at this gathering is a positive sign of a potentially united front. However, it is only one part of the equation. The other side has to show some positive initiative as well.
