How tradition of hospitality also helps keep Jordan afloat

The defection of a Syrian air force pilot who flew his jet to Jordan and asked for sanctuary is causing a certain amount of awkwardness in Amman. In this volatile corner of the world, Jordan is a country which would rather be known for its hospitality, than for this kind of headline, says the BBC's Jim Carey.

Never liked this family

Hussein was a snitch who used the power and prestige of the late Shah of Iran to his own ends.  How many times he would come to Iran begging for this and that and be the guest of the Iranian monarch and enjoy the many possibilies in Iran which he did not have in Jordan, and what does he do as a token of appreciation? Is not the let the Monarch into his country when this friend needed help. Now if that is not Arab weaselness you tell me what is.
