Firstly I really appreciate it when you feel what little I have done for you or the entire movement as worthy of your beautiful comment. Friend will always be friends.

Not I take exception to one word you say which is  [stereotyping people].

You a powerful writer, and you are well aware of my writing style, which is getting the emotions going and at times being controversial. But there are no stereotyping people, but stereotyping ideologies.

Since I have returned, I have decided to make no personal attack on individuals, but the ideas and total lack of cohesion among oppositions. There is no denying as to how fragmented we are and this lack of unity and solidarity been theme of most my writing in past few weeks, in addition to anti war and human rights stance.

If some immature and baseless people, as we see their comment here, see my strong criticism of their ideology and being hars and not to their liking, I have a simple suggestions for them[not you];

If they can not take the heat, they kindly need get out of the kitchen.

So as long we believe that WE as fragmented as we are, are entitled to call ourselves patriots and others Arab this and that, so as long we do not face the harsh reality of being so far apart from one another and most importantly being so detached from people in Iran we shall remain marginalized at best, with only each other to bark at.

As I have done for you, as for example in stepping up and explaining to many people at the beginning of the Uprising last summer that you were virulently opposed to the Regime when you were being attacked as one of (oh so many coooountless) mullah-in-drag sorts infesting this website, based on misconceptions arrived at about you as early as one half year before that, when you first came here at the height of the invasion of Gaza. You have been a mainstay of strength for me during my--unfortunately public--personal crises (along with Azarin, Yolanda, DARIUS and other loving friends from across the ideological perspective, including the avowedly 'apolitical').

But you're stereotyping people with broad strokes based on bits and bytes of their 'ideologies' through your language about RP and monarchists, just like others pigeon-holed you, and it is so unhelpful, so ugly and divisive. In recent days I've tried to convey at to you in different ways the same thing Monda's saying. Dear JJ, what is your plan about harrassment of IC writers?

Past few days, I have not written much on IC.  This gave me a little bit time to read couple old blogs and their comment threads.  It was interesting to see how stupid the comments of some IRI supporters on this site were on the threads that I read.

One of stupid comments belonged to the person who was calling my comments not intelligent few weeks ago. I am talking about Marhoum Kharmagas who had an exchange with another commentator; OnlyIran.  In this exchange, MK's comments were stupid.  On the same thread, there was Marge who claimed that she can say whatever she wants because she is a cartoon character!!! 

These pro IRI people have no shame.  Be it abusing other people on IC, harrassing them on other social sites, whatever you say, they are capable of doing. After all, they support  a regime which jails, kills and rapes its own people.  So what can you expect from their Diaspora supporters? Not much and then JJ and some others say that these people should be given a tribune On IC in name of democracy. 

 JJ, do you think if these people were put on a leash on IC as suggested by some of us, that these pro IRI writers would get brazen enough to harrass other writers of IC on other sites and do it to multiple people in span of couple days and think that they can get away with it? 

JJ, what have you done or plan to do with Q as result of what happened?  I believe you need to be involved in resolution of this matter and find out if indeed Q harrassed me and another writer.  If yes, Q and his sock-puppet(s) should be blocked from IC. 

 Somehow I think that all this democracy for IRI supporters has made them worse.

I say: Style in dialogue is Key in getting ideas and values across.  I don't think we, as a community in diaspora, are marginalized because we carry diverse ideas and beliefs in us, on iranian.com as any where in Life.  We are marginalized by our lack of compassion for diversity and our lack of focus on Solutions.

Simply put, Hate detracts from the main goal being: How to Unite Thoughts, propel into Action. IMHO, if as a community we can accomplish to manage our anger towards those who are different than us, then perhaps we can come closer to moving toward constructive Action.  Only with acceptance of other's beliefs.  That's the only way we can have Real dialogue and Work done.  Civility in discourse really matters.

I do believe we are entitled to vent our frustrations, fohsh if you like, as you have by writing this blog, but it pains me to see the spiral of anger that follows your initial venting. Your anger is triggered Even by simple comments such as Yolanda's and mine, letting you know where we stand: We don't like to play this game of Hate. That is where some of us stand. You see?

You can choose to hear us and simply hold our views or get angry at us, for not joining you in your style of expression

Capt - I feel your frustration, but hang in there

At times, I feel frustrated too because of the slowness of the unity.  But, hang in there. In the past, one tactic of IRI has been to exile the opposition to silence voices, but we must be doing something right since the IRI machinery has started to persecute the Iranian individuals in the Diaspora, see, e.g., my blog

Capt_jan, call me desperately hopeful but I see a lot of potential, even here, for people to be able to have productive dialogues about the future of our Iran. We need to see the transition that we're in for what it really is. This is a unique time and forum for all to vent, re-evaluate and eventually problem-solve.

Also Capt_, I think it's a good idea to remember the functionality of virtual communications.  it is a very different beast still, in the way people hiding behind their avatars, can run off their mouths without seeing any real consequences. Do you see what I mean?  My hope is that in the near future, when all have had their warm ups with this virtual thing, like-minded folks of all factions could actually meet, face to face, and engage in Real dialogues.  Again, for now, this is great dast-garmi.  Time will come, soon, for a strong akharin defaa, yaare bivafaa, in real terms. Soon. I hold the Hope.
