Farhad Kashani

After all this time of

by Farhad Kashani on

After all this time of justifying and softening the image of all anti American regimes, is Jon Stewart ready to say GOH khordam? He thinks we forgot?

This self loathing confused Socialist, is he ready to say I was wrong? Is he ready to apologize? Why did he send a correspondent to Iran right before the so called “elections”? Comedy bit? Pro IRI bit? Anti IRI bit? Had nothing else to fill his show with? We all know the answer is “Pro IRI bit”. He wanted to make a point that “Bush was wrong, and IRI is a democracy” and all that nonsense. He didn’t listen to what the world was saying about this regime, but now that he saw how the regime is in reality, he changed his mind?

Screw him and his Leftist propaganda.

Tarof my a##

by Mardom Mazloom on

When you look at the video of Tanfiz carefully, you see that after AN kissed Zahak’s shoulder, Shahroudi asked him something (likely why hadn’t he kissed Kha.R. on his cheek) and AN responded something by showing his nose. Later in FarsNews they said that AN was sick!! The explanation, though amazing, could have hold. BUT the day after AN met the leader of Aman in Teheran and kissed him three times on his cheeks as muslims usually do!! Any explanations, Jahel?? AN was sick for Kha.R. but not anymore the day after? Humm

I give you everything you want, ... my departure from this site for ever ... if you verify what I said and come and tell us something else which holds. hehehe

The lack of sexual understanding is amazing

by Faramarz_Fateh on

As long as Ali Geda (aka Khamenei) has access to young boys or as they used to be called in olden days of Qom, he doesn't have to get his rocks off by kissing such a foul looking and boogandoo creature like Ahmadimeymoon.

So, instead of cheek kissing, its shoulder.  But people, keep your young boys inside.  Een molla ha az pesar bache ha nemigzaran.

JALEHO.....OFFER OF A ONE WAY TICKET TO IRAN FOR YOU STILL STANDS....YOU CAN GO AND BLOG FROM THERE....YOU"D BE CLOSER TO AHAMDI AND ALI GEDA....NO TAROF

I about died when he showed the kissing clip.  JS is the best... absolutely the best.  I'd rather get my news from him than anyone.  Thanks for giving us our JS fix Captain.  I hardly ever can stay up that late!

Jaleho

The lack of cultural understanding is amazing!

by Jaleho on

The event of this "Kiss" has been repeated in soooooo many papers ad neauseam, interpreted in such details....:-)

OK guys, here's the TRADITION: an elderly, a father in olden times, and a religious leader even by other religious leaders of lower rank can be approached to be kissed on the hand, even on the foot. (I guess many a theory has been once attributed to Mesbah's attempt to fall on Khamenei's foot too).

The tradition also has it that the elderly can either fatherly kiss the younger or the lower rank on the head, front, or cheeks in return. But, he can also attempt to prevent the fellow from kissing his hand, or someone from falling on his feet, as an expression  of MUTUAL HUMILITY.

It is part of what Iranians have as "tarof."

So many intricate theories has been written based on lack of understanding of another culture, and so many Iranians who actually know the traditions pour more logs on this foreign ignorance when it fits their own agenda :-)

God knows how many stories has been written on Japanese taking a bow as a sign of respect and humility!

I was watching this show last night and planning on getting the link today, but you beat me to it ;-)

Too bad he didn't mention that the statement was retracted, but still a lot better than other Iran's coverage on the media.

Thanks for posting

this clip was great.  "Jon Stewart" 's showing of two different receptions of AN by Khamenei was telling.  And he captured it all well:"what do you give a man that has stolen everything?"
